  1. Thanks for the replies, this is what I thought it wasn't worth it, just wanted it confirmed. I will look for a 3070 Ti.
  2. Hi, I currently got a RTX 2070 Super and looking to upgrade to a RTX 3070 (not ti) and would like to know is it worth the upgrade? It will be used for gaming and gernel usage. Below I have listed my PSU, Motherboard and CPU: PSU: Be Quiet Straight Power 11 750w Motherboard: MSI X570-A Pro CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Regards, Gaz
  3. My backup of files and program exe's, only needs 3GB of space, for what I need to transfer. My other stuff is either on another hard drive or on a server/cloud. When I do a fresh install of Windows I always disconnect the other hard drives (so I don't delete them by mistake - done it before) Then only re-connect them when everything up and running.
  4. Hi, I created a Windows 10 USB bootable stick as, I need to reinstall Windows. I was wondering, can I put my backup files on the same USB stick in a BACKUP folder? Or should I use another USB Stick
  5. I have sorted it, I installed Virtualbox and then installed andriod x86. Only problem is the Amazon Prime crashes as it not meant for x86 platform, as andriod normally runs on ARM processors. So would need to watch that in the browser on andriod, so it an all in one setup as I wanted.
  6. For most yes but be easier to use an all in one setup. I would also like to plug in my TV box sometimes as well and there nothing for that. While I would plug directtly into the monitor, but I have the monitor vertical and there no setting to allow me to change that on my monitor, so everything that not run thought Windows shows sideways
  7. I can't play it through my browser, as I want to use it for other Apps, such as Plex and only got a small space for where VLC would fit on my second screen, which also displays other programs. I some time closed the browser by accident, while doing stuff on it, so that wouldn't really work.
  8. Hi, I am looking for a Capture card, that will allow me to watch (not record) Amazon Fire TV/Fire Stick using VLC on PC. Does anyone have any suggestions for a capture card, as most don't allow HDCP content. Thanks
  9. I have tried my other ram and that works fine after a BIOS reset. Would it be possible to manual set the speeds in the BIOS, instead of using XMP, or would there still be any issue, due to the different versions?
  10. No, I not tried that and will give it a try when I get a moment. Thanks for the replies Corsair has said: We do not recommend mixing separate memory kits as it can cause stability issues. Memory with the same speed, size (GB per stick), timings, and voltage would net your best chance of not having a stability issue. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee mixing any two kits, even if they have the same part number, for guaranteed stability. So it seems, there very little chance to get both pairs working with XMP on, due to the different versions.
  11. My other problem is the v3.31 kit, will no longer run with XMP, when it the only pair in the systeam, so without thh v5.22 The v3.31 will run at 2133Mhz ok, I have tried 1 stick and the other stick on it own, but the motherboard ez-debug say ram is at fault, with the v3.31 in it when XMP is on. Where as the v5.22 will run fine with XMP on, without the v3.31 in the system. It like both sticks of the v3.31 drop XMP profile or went semi-faulty at the same time, which seem weird to me. Thanks for the replies
  12. No, 1 is v3.31 from September 2019 and the other is v5.22 from September 2021
  13. Just an update on this. I have tested all 4 sticks (2 kits) in each socket, only the 2nd (new) kit works with XMP on. I will contact Corsair and see what they will say. The kit (pair) that is not working is the old kit, that I bought in September 2019. Thanks again for the replies
  14. Thanks for the replies I will take another look either tomorrow or Monday and test each stick and each kit.
  15. Thanks for the reply I never went in and turned it back on after, adding the second kit, however windows was reporting it was running at 3000Mhz in task manager and AIDA64 I think the kit that is causing the issue, is the older kit, thought I would need to double check on that.
  16. Hi, I was in my bios today, to change my fan curve, when I press F10 (save changes) and exited, the PC ramped the fans up and then down and back etc... I reset the bios, went in and turned on XMP for my ram to run at the correct speed and it did the same. So after another reset of the bios, I went in left it as it was, with XMP off and it booted fine, no issues but for the ram speed was at 2133Mhz as XMP wasn't on. So I pulled out 2 ram sticks (which was 1 kit) and, was able to turn on XMP, when I readded one of the 2 I removed, it wouldn't boot, with the fan reving up and down again. I then tried the other stick, that was removed in same socket and the other socket and it did the same, with the fans reving up and down. Now, I am trying to work out is this bad ram, bios issue or ram socket on motherboard, as it was running fine with XMP on, till I went in to change the fan curve. Is this ram gone bad or a bios issue or a ram socket motherboartd issue?, As it only happened when I change the fan curver and saved it? I added the second kit about an 1 to 2 weeks ago, the ram is the same make, version and timing as my other kit. Looking on the MSI site at the Bios, I think I have version 7C37vH7. On version 7C37vH9 there was Improved memory compatibility. PC Spec Motherboard: MSI X570-A Pro (Bios version H.70) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 32GB DDR4 (4x 8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz – 2 Kits Graphic Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Ventus OC Thanks, Gaz
  17. Thanks for the reply Just an update on this, it also failed the fix all long. So will destory the drive.
  18. Hi, I have a 4TB Seagate 2.5" hard drive, they I took out the external case about 2 years ago and put it somewhere safe. I have now gone to use the drive and just ran some tests, using the Seagate SeaTools for Windows and it fails the Short DST (Drive Self Test) at 10%. I have also installed Crystal Disk Info to check the smart, it appears to be all good, image attached. Is the drive failing? I am currently running fix all long on the drive using Seagate seatools, to see if it will do anything.
  19. Forgot to reply can after doing a fresh install and installing Nvidia March drivers and not connect the other hard drives it seems fine. Seems like it was a software issue.
  20. Just check inside the case everything plugged in and not come loss. All the caps on the motherboard looks ok. Just doing a freah install of win 10 and will run it for a few days to see if anything else happens just incase it was a bad install Memtest came back without any errors over the 4 passes. Also disconnect all other hard drive so it just the nvme
  21. Going to take a look inside later or tomorrow. I do have a spare psu and other parts

I have stress test the CPU and GPU to try and trigger it, but seems fine. One thing i noticed when i had spotify on the sound would stop but it kept playing and had to close and reload it. Today i was updating cod via battle net and it just restarted. I have a 700w bequiet psu. Current running a memtest or i would of give more info. Any ideas?
