  1. Just wanted to state that it was indeed my CPU holding my ram back. Got a 5800x and now my ram goes to its full speed of 3200mhz Thks for the help
  2. Ah Nvm, I see what your saying The question would be then.. how do i increase the IMC? is it a mobo thing? CPU thing? Curious
  3. I went in and did a memory test (the normal one windows provides, hope thats ok) 2 passes, standard. Nothing came up Also yes, have the latest drivers. I re-installed windows when I got the Ram
  4. Yes, I have it seated in dual Channel Configuration as per my Mobo
  5. I reset bios and manually did the voltage for the Ram and set the Ram to XMP 2 (3000mhz) Bios and Windows still report 2400mhz however. I'm really scratching my head at this since it was working fine before
  6. - Yes, as far as I know. Both the Ram and Ram slots work perfectly fine (I can do more testing on the ram however, but system is very stable atm) -CPU isn't OC'ed -I can give that a shot, never done it before but worth a shot I guess
  7. First post here, so plz be nice. I recently purchased some new ram for my Ryzen 2700x system due to issues with my previous ram (I was lead to believe) The ram I got was Kingston HyperX Fury RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 I was able to put it in the other day, turn on XMP 1 (3200mhz) and it worked fine for the night. I turned on my PC this morning and it didn't post, would just stay there... On but not beeping or anything (the computer does have a speaker so should beep if it has memory issues) I forcefully shut it down and rebooted and went on my day. So I noticed that my ram was only going to 2400mhz now due to bios been reset, So i went in and enabled XMP profile 2 (3000mhz) It booted fine but was still only going at 2400mhz.. Odd, I turned XMP off and set the ram to 2933 (which Ryzen 2700x natively supports) and it STILL sits at 2400mhz During this whole time, the system boots fine. No beeps or failure to boot. My build is: CPU: Ryzen 2700x Board: Gigabyte X570 Gaming X Mobo Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 GPU: Gigabyte Windforce RTX 2070 (Pre-Ordered my Gigabyte 3080 OC already) PSU: 650 W Gold (thermaltake I believe) Will soon become This The Bios is currently the latest released by Gigabyte, this was done before getting the new ram I have included a photo of my Bios where it went to 2600mhz once even though it was set to 3200mhz (which I do know it can do) Any ideas?
  8. My Main Gaming Rig A small I3 Machine My Main Work/Play Laptop Lenovo L420 My Old Dell laptop 3 Acer Aspire 753's (because sometimes i do testing shit on em 2 Other Old laptops I can't remember the name of. I Don't Have enough
  9. RTX 2070-2080 is props around the graphics card I would recommend for 1440p 144fps if you have a 144hz monitor I personally have a Ryzen 2700x with a 1070 and i constantly run my setup at 1440p on a 144hz screen. I get roughly around 90-100 fps in most games on high (on recent titles). I just tend to turn down my graphics a little to achieve that sweet 144fps for my 144hz's screen. U have some good options out there
