  1. Ok there might be a fix for that 1903 dithering problem. You gotta try to disable windows color manager calibration loader in the windows task scheduler.
  2. I used to think it's okay for tn panels until i found out these threads. I have a slight problem when i play quake champions, in the menu there is a black background with mild lights and grey smoke, and that looks terrible. but that's the only thing i noticed over the years. i'm not sure if other monitors would work better and if i can sell it for a decent price.
  3. I just don't want to spend month adjusting secondary and tertiary timings without any guidelines for my memory type ok seems like i got it wrong and i have afr memory, not mfr..
  4. Some people say it would stop working during playing games. It differs. I've read the 23 pages of that crazy odyssey at geforce forum today and people are struggling a lot with this shit. I can't downgrade my windows anyway. They say one should set the color range to limited and then tweak the color vibrance to save those washed colors. I haven't tried it, but limited colors should be not a good idea. I hope they will implement dithering in the driver someday. But there is almost no hope
  5. Sure. It worked bugged anyway on previous versions, always randomly turned off etc.
  6. So today after 2 years of using my s2417dg I've found out that there was a fix. Also today I've found out that it doesn't work anymore on newer windows version. And i guess nvidia is not going to add dithering any time soon. F.
  7. So it seems that the most important part is primary timings.. My pc is oced except for the memory and i can't handle my OCD without trying to speed memory even a little bit :D. I'm using broadwell-e processor and 3000 mhz hunix-mfr based memory kit (Kingston Predator (HX430C15PB3K2/32). Timings are a bit boring (15-17-17-36-2T) huh. I know it might be even not worth trying but hey, I should calm down a bit after i will see tighter timings or/and some extra 200 mhz frequency.
  8. Hello fellow overclockers. My pc is overclocked as possible... except for the RAM I'm running my Kingston Predator (HX430C15PB3K2/32) memory at standard 3000 mhz. Timings are 15-17-17-36 2T. Voltage is 1.35. Should I go into overclocking and is it even worth trying? Will I see any performance gain at all? Should I buy two more sticks for quad-channel? I'm running intel x99 asus system with 6850k.
  9. hey how about diving into elaborating on those tertiary timings a bit more with more experience
  10. hey pro overlockers, noob needs some advices here.Recently I've decided to push my 6850k a bit further (within the common sense). For 2 years it's been running @4000 mhz all cores via XMP profile for my 3000mhz ram (with 3125 cache). Xmp changes the blck to 125 (as far as I know, broadwell-E are stable with high frequency RAM at 125 bclk) and vcore to 1.222. I've tried to push it a bit to 4.250 setting 1.282 value to vcore manually, seems stable. mobo is strix x99, temperatures are sitting <60c after 30 mins realbench stress test (with nzxt kraken x62). I'm wondering, should I also change other setting like vcore offset agent etc., should I overlock cache? And, in general, should I push frequency further regarding I'm mostly playing competetive games and working with Adobe software (AE, PS, IL)?
  11. so I'm having a new issue with my GPU fans. i've noticed several times during last week (nothing like that before) that my GPU fans are not working at all after some boots. Changing fan curve/setting fan speed manually/turning 0 db mode on and off doesn't help – it just raises the temperatures and does not turn the fans on. Reboot fixes the problem immediately. Can't figure out what's the issue here. I'm using GPU Tweak II for the fan curve. GPU is Strix 1080 Ti OC with a slight and sable overlock.
