  1. I am moving my setup to my new studio soon. I have been running an external MO-RA3 420 for two, almost three years now. I am thinking about updating my case. Is there a case at all out there that incorporates a rad like the MO-RA3? I have been using lian-li for a while- I believe they are all too small.
  2. THAT is awesome, how problematic is 11 for the insiders? I do actual work with this pc. I own multiple business one of which is developing real artificial intelligence so the work is very important. I can pm you the trade mark if interested.
  3. Well, windows 11 doesn't do that. In 10 I can stack them in a folder, windows 11 does not allow apps to be stacked in a folder (think smart phone ux). That is the part I care about most.
  4. I found this, I have tried this on my current build it no longer functions. Can someone confirm this is not working for them? Is there another option to restore this that anyone is aware of? I've tried start 11 per Anthony which is the closest except you can't stack the tiles in a folder. Source: https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/restore_classic_start_menu_windows_11.html My build: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor, Asus Hero Vii wifi Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on ‎3/‎14/‎2022 OS build 22000.556 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.556.0
  5. Sensor Hubs, why AMD? 1) What does AMD claim are the features of their sensor hub that is an improvement over anyone else’s sensor hub? 2) What are the disadvantages to use AMD's sensor hub over Intel's sensor hub, or Nvidia's sensor hub? 3) What reasons might someone use Intel's sensor hub over Nvidia’s hub or AMD's hub? 4) What reasons might someone use Nvidia's sensor hub over AMD’s hub or Intel's hub On instinct What can you say about how it will or can affect edge products?
  6. Well, I'm stupid, that was it, was in opt-fan. Must have been related
  7. So, I am doing the right thing and testing it all before putting it in the case. Don't worry the stock cooler is temporary just to get it safely tested. Imam doing a custom loop. 2 issues I am running into. 1. my CPU fan on the cooler is clearing operating, yet in the eufi i am still getting a cup fan error (see the pictures). I did the standard cpu fan optimization saved and restarted, no change. ideas what to look for? 2. it wants to load the eufi as the only option to go in, advanced, exit, then ... it will go into windows. what setting am I missing? any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.
  8. I am looking for a higher quality controller than a Corsair Commander pro. Suggestions? Going noctua on the fans. Some 120s and some 140s.
  9. 1. Thanks for the reply, I greatly appreciate the assistance! 2. Ffs??? Huh? 3. So to be 100% clear I can only have x2 3.0 ports and x1 usbc port used on the front? Could I not run the Asus Intel thunderbolt 3 card to the type c port? 4. Will I have room on the board for a t-bolt card, 10g lan card l, and room for the the 3.0 header(s) card? Sorry about this, for some reason I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this part of the board.
  10. So if I go with the Asus x570 crosshair hero 8 route with a 3900x and an EVGA 2080 super hydrocopper using a Lian li 011 dynamic xl case (x4 USB 3.0 ports x2 usbc port) 1.) The expansion card situation is NOT clear on the motherboard. Is it 2, 1, what? I am looking at the x570 for a 3900x. In general their literature on the expansion cards are confusing. 2.) I have x1 type c front port on my case I am looking at. How could I populate that with the board not having a type c header? Thunderbolt 3 expansion card? 3.) I have x4 3.0 ports the front of my case. Looking at the front I/O on the hero 8 it has; one 3.2g2 header, 1 3.2g1 header (that supports 2 ports), and lastly a 2.0 header that supports .4 2.0 headers. So looks like I could populate 3 of the 4 front 3.0 ports. How could I populate the last port? 4.) The hero 8 has 4 ram slots, it is not clear if it is daisy chain or T topology. Which is it??? Note: I do plan on an internal home 10g internet and thunder bolt 3 regardless. Solutions? Ideas?
  11. So I am doing a comparison board to board to board. The z390 dark is out because it has older and less I/O and worse vrm over the apex, and the apex costs less... Then moving on to ASUS apex vs the (heaven forbid) ASUS AMD crosshair hero 8. The hero costs less, has more i/o, and the i/o is more up to date. (3.2 vs 3.1 and has a better nic) So it comes down to how I would do a few things. -----++++++++ So if I go the Asus crosshair hero 8 route with a 3900x; 1.)
