  1. My cpu usage is usually at 38-45% depending on the area, npc's and players. It's pretty smooth, problems that occur could be server latency. I have gigabit internet. Now I can open my steam account and the game pass account and have both characters on the same server. Usage for the cpu and gpu are in the 60's.
  2. Well it turns out changing the ini file made it work smoothly. iPresentinterval=0 changed it to a 1, works great. Even with the game pass account and the steam account running on the same server. i7 8700k, doing a good job.
  3. If Quantum read what I posted, maybe they wouldn't write useless info. I wrote that I play the game on Steam without any problems, smooth and 80-120 fps.
  4. Windows 11 Home Asus Tuf 3080 i7 8700k @ 5ghz Corsair HX750i PSU I have been playing Fallout 76 on Steam and recently got a version on Game Pass. It gets 80-90 fps but my gpu is around 28-35% usage, gameplay feels stuttery and choppy. I tried lowering and increasing the graphics, helped a little running everything on high. I added the game to Nvidia control panel settings. Changed the power to maximum, turned off vsync. Any ideas how I can make it run smoother?
  5. This video is good, the screws I need are the tiny screws on the outer back plate. There's no information about them unfortunately.
  6. Nvidia doesn't sell, screws and it's out of warranty. The tech support couldn't find the size of them. The tiny back plate screws. Anyone know the size so I can order them, that would be great.
  7. Uninstalled the game, Epic launcher, deleted the cache file. Nothing has worked. Allowed it and the launcher passthrough for the Windows defender. I'm using Windows 10 64bit Home. i7 8700k GTX 2080 Ti Corsair HX 750w WD Black M.2 Sata storage Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
  8. My local hardware store matched it to another I had. They counted the threads.
  9. I just tried plugging my monitor to a laptop via hdmi. The monitor shows the Asus logo, then "No Signal".I can't see if there's an hdmi setting, when I press the menu button nothing shows. Update, it just started working. Loose cable? I don't know, seemed connected for me. Thanks!
  10. I was playing a game and my pc shut off. This has been happening with no issues before, just restarted. Now I don't have any image, I plugged my Display port cable into the motherboard outlet, tried an HDMI cable also. Is it the psu? Motherbord? The rgb on the ram is lit, cooling pump is working. Not sure what to try. Rog Strix Z390 E Gaming motherboard Asus VG248 Monitor i7 8700k @5ghz GTX 2080 Ti Corsair 16gig Ram @3200hz Corsair HX 750w PSU Water cooled, temps were 50-60c under load.
  11. RTX Reference 2080 Ti I'm missing 1 backplate screw. Very small, I can't find a place online. It would be good to have all the screws in case I decide to sell it one day.
  12. Windows firewall is off, no anti virus running.
  13. It was 2 years ago when I took of the cooler to install my waterblock. Forgot about the fan plug, thanks. It was hidden , sort of.
  14. I didn't see the plug really. After lifting the pcb, the fan plug is under some plastic cover with thermal pads around it. I guess I'll take it apart, again.
  15. I've had the cooler in the box for over 2 years. My watercooler started leaking so I installed the fan cooler. I tried manually spinning, afterburner, nvidia experience optimizer fan controls. I didn't open the fans at all, just the pcb and back cover. Anyone have a suggestion?
  16. No, just can't connect online, go to offline mode. Fallout 76 the Play button is gray and I have no online characters to choose from.
  17. Asus F15 Dash Laptop I've tried a few online games, Hitman 3, Just Cause 4, and Fallout 76. I'm connected to wifi 5ghz, web browsing works. I've tried resetting the network , port forwarding for Fallout 76, ethernet cable. Called Asus, they said it must be your internet. My internet speed is around 200 gig download. I checked with Verizon Fios, they said everything is working fine. Not sure what else I can do.
  18. It's a corsair dominator platinum rgb 4000mhz. Intel xmp certified, on the box. On my motherboard I have a drop down with xmp, xmp II, Auto and Manual. On Manual settings I can choose all the different speeds. I put it on 3200 and my pc works fine.
  19. So any suggestions? XMP only offers that speed, I'll try manual, see what I get.
  20. I have a Asus Rog Strix z390 E Gaming motherboard which is rated for 4200 speed ram. I reset my bios to default, cleared the cmos, it still won't run at 4000 speed, the only speed offered in xmp and xmp II. My cpu is an i7 8700k. When I set it to Auto it runs at 2133, (2x8 gigs of ram). It won't boot to windows, I get an error message to go into bios and fix my settings.
  21. I just installed 2x 8 gig of Corsair Dominator ram. It won't boot when I load my overclock with xmp I enabled. I have my cpu at 4.8ghz, 1.34 volts. It will boot under auto settings but only with 2133 speed. Motherboard is : Asus z390 E gaming.
  22. I watched Linus' video on does ram matter for gaming. The result was not really, so I never bothered. You think faster ram would really help I'll look into it.
  23. I play Battlefield games, BF 4, BF 1, BF 2042, which run with the gpu and cpu around 60% usage, unless I change the resolution up which makes the image too distorted for me (144hz). I would like the gpu to be utilized fully, and thought maybe the i7 8700k was holding it back somehow. Guess I'll stick with this for now.
  24. It's always 50-80% usage for gaming. I have a Asus z390 E Gaming motherboard, but I am willing to upgrade it. I was thinking of getting an i9 9900k. GTX 2080 Ti Rog Strix z390 E Gaming motherboard i7 8700k @5ghz - delided Corsair Vengeance 8gig x2 Ram Corsair 750w HX psu
  25. Yup I do that next. I tried a fresh install, still switched to power saving. I'll have to contact Asus Monday.
