Cool.. , but how is this really any different from dual booting linux/windows and changing the install directory to a partition of a larger storage drive ie. partion 1 windows install directory, partion 2 linux repository and letting your main use programs like your browser set embedded with your os. It seems that would accomplish the same goal

price the build from ebay and/or PCpartpicker knock 25% off for used but the GPU market is still cray cray so there's that adding everything up minus the fans using lowest available price at first glance using ebay, google shopper is 739.99 no tax less 25% is 554.99 so around 550 cash but that is just rule of thumb in my opinion

Throwing my hat in the ring to start things off only thing that has changed is the GPU Asus M3A76-CM AMD phenom II X4 955 at 3.67 8 GB DDR2 640 gb WD Caviar blue antech neo power 500 Current card is a 1050TI it started life with a GTX 460 so i think i would have originally built this around 2010-11 its been going strong ever since. anybody actively running something older?
