  1. Strange that the performance would decrease after 12-14 months... you wouldn't think that there would be any decrease in performance unless either there was stuff growing in your loop or the pump was getting weaker. Perhaps the thermal paste was old? did you repaste the CPU at all in that 14 months?
  2. That's actually pretty impressive that it lasted 6 years.
  3. Ya I noticed they do tend to be quite over priced, especially here in Canada, but like you said I am already running everything corsair and REALLY didn't want to download yet another RGB program... so corsair is was. Sucks but that's the case. If somehow however, This replacement comes and dies or is dead, I'm not getting another corsair AIO.
  4. Introduction I just built my first pc and it was a great experienced and everything worked great!... except my Corsair h150i Elite LCD AIO, which was DOA. The pump straight up just would not turn on, so I could only boot the computer for about 4 minutes as a time (don't worry I kept a VERY close eye on the temps using Icue so I didn't harm my 13900k). I have since returned the AIO to Amazon and a new one should be here within the next few days. A brief explanation of the failure of the AIO... I am only adding this so you can have some context of the issues and where I am coming from. When I booted up the pc the AIO LCD would display some cool boot animation. The AIO would then display the coolant temp (which is its default behaviour before the ICUE software is running) except instead of showing the temps, it only displayed "0". after about 1-3 seconds of this it would switch to a red triangle with an exclamation mark inside of it. I could tell the pump wasn't running at all because of the temps I was seeing - which would slowly climb to 100 degrees over 4-10 minutes, or climb rather rapidly under a moderate load and would not come down. I also could not hear the pump at all, and if I put my hand on the AIO LCD, I could feel no vibration (which should present if there is a pump moving inside). What is your experience with Corsair AIOs? I have heard some great things about corsair AIOs. It's what made me go with corsair to begin with, but this was unexpected. After hours of troubleshooting, I have not found a single person whose situation matches mine online. This gives me some hope that I just received a lemon and this is not at all a common problem. My understanding is that a AIO pump should last years if cared for and set up properly. Just a quick note I am aware from other posts I've made on this forum that some of the people on here (though not nearly as bad as reddit) seem to be somewhat jaded. If that isn't you then great! But it seems some people just like being negative online, and if that is you and you aren't being reasonable about that fact that sometime crap happens and you just get a lemon, then I probably will not pay much attention to your reply. I don't ask that you filter your thoughts, rather that you use some forethought and are somewhat reasonable about what you say and the feedback you give. Thanks!
  5. Thanks a ton! I saw this video but since I am so new to actually planning builds, I wasn't sure if they were taking the thicknesses of the fans into account or just the radiators. The informations. I have since found some pictures of builds online of someone using it in a similar way as I intend to.
  6. Budget (including currency): A lot Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All the Games Okay so I am planning a build in the O11D Evo (which is weirdly hard to find here in Canada, at least in black) and I have some things I'm trying to sort out. So this is my first build, however, I have been watching build guides and such for over 10 years at this point so I feel as confident as I can despite never actually building an entire computer before. Since this is my first build, but I've wanted to build a computer for over 10 years at this point I'm going all out on performance, yet still quiet, while still keeping in mind that it's my first build. So I want to make sure everything will work before I actually do it, and be relatively easy to build. One of the stipulations of it being easy to build is I am not going to do custom water-cooling. But I still want to water-cool both my GPU and CPU, since I will be building with a i9-13900k and a RTX 4090. This basically limits me to just AIOs. The Question: I am aware you never want the block (which is what houses the pump) to be the highest part in your water-cooling loop so air doesn't get trapped in it and A) degrade performance and more importantly, B) Doesn't lead to an early death of the pump. So that means I need to put the two AIOs (both of which are 360mm) on the top and front side of the O11. Will this work? is there sufficient room for the two rads to fit there together? I can't seem to find anyone else online who has a setup like this, which leads me to believe it won't work.
  7. I've noticed some big changes in LTT and their content in the time I've been watching since 2013, what have you noticed yourself?
  8. it looks kinda like a 1st gen civic (which isn't a bad thing) I wouldn't buy one though. Electric cars aren't really my thing. I'm a car guy so loud cars are kinda my thing ;)
  9. how exactly would I go about reinstalling direct X? like where is it it in the game folder. Ive looked but cant find it.
  10. I am reinstalling it right now
  11. So I saw the battlefron 4 hour trial on origin. so I though "ive never played battle front 3 before, lets try it" So i down loaded it and love it....for about 4 hours. I loved it so much that i bought it. But now after I bought it, it keeps giving me this error that has something to do with direct x. Heres a pic of the error on startup of the game. I also have a gtx 970 This is extremely frusterating esspesially because the trial worked fine (basically the full game but you can only play for 4 hours) and then I bought it so it starts crashing on start up now....just my luck sorry about the spelling errors btw. Im too mad to actually care about them at this point.
  12. ok, so i used windows restore to restore to a week ago and it worked!
  13. i already tried all of this and it didnt work
  14. so I recently got express find onto my computer (not on perpose) its very annoying... how do I get rid of it, it pretty much makes it inposible to use the internet
