  1. Is this something that SpaceX's starlink service could solve? Just a thought I had, plus I guess it could provide internet connection
  2. Preferably around £300. I’m not the biggest fan of used hardware though
  3. Hey there, I am looking to buy a laptop and have found this one: https://www.ebuyer.com/874549-hp-255-g7-ryzen-3-8gb-256gb-full-hd-15-6in-win10-laptop-6bn96ea-abu?reevoo_page=1&reevoo_filter=student#reevoo_embedded_reviews I am an accounting student and will be using chrome and excel (and other office applications) and the same time so I don’t think it will need to be that powerful nor have a lot of storage as i will only be storing documents (I have a gaming pc for games). is this any good? / or can I do better for the price? many thanks, RC
  4. Hey there, I am looking to buy a laptop and would like some suggestions. I will only be using office applications and chrome at the same time and i use MEGA file sharing so it doesn’t need to be that powerful nor with a lot of local storage Is there any laptops with a 1080p display and a SSD of at least 128gb available within the £350 range (preferably without bezels that you can park a bus on) many thanks, RC
  5. Hey there, I am building an itx PC which only has 1 USB 2.0 header where I need 2, one for Kraken M22 aio and the other for front pannel usb. As seen in the picture, does the usb 2 connector which braches off of the usb 3 connector have to be plugged in for both usb 3 front pannel connectors to work. (Hopefully you can understand from my explanation)
  6. Correct, also i need it to be reasonable portable to take between university and home on the train a few times a year
  7. I forgot to mention that I know that it says that they are not compatible but they are, the psu comes with an atx adapter and I have seen builds in this case with aio's

  9. This might seem a bit stupid but (with the weird orientation of the case) could I have 2 intakes (1 at top and 1 at back) and use the PSU as an exhaust. In this case the PSU pulls air in from the case and exhausts from the bottom
  10. Hey there, I am building an ITX PC in the Raijintek Metis Plus. As it is an ITX case, I am worried about keeping the PC cool. I am thinking about putting a rx 590 in (either gigabyte or Sapphire) but I am not sure whether a reference style GPU is good for the temperatures. Are there any blower style GPU's available around the £200/$250 or any reference cards which will help take the hot air from the GPU away from the inside of the case. Is a reference card ok? I will be using a 120mm AIO so hopefully this will help with air flow. Many Thanks, RC
  11. Hey There, I need a laptop for £300/$350 that i will only use for word, excel and content consumption such as YouTube and Netflix. I would prefer to have windows as i use MEGA file sharing and i find it easier to edit and use documents on windows. I am building a gaming pc so will not need it to game at all. A good battery life will be beneficial. Please can you suggest any good options Many Thanks, Reece

  13. Hey there, According to PC Part Picker, my build will use 359w. Is a corsair sf450w PS4 enough. Will operating near capacity on normal operation impact noise, heat, etc. Or should I splash out for the corsair sf600w PS4? Many Thanks RC
  14. Thank you for the suggestions. What turned you away from the a400?
  15. Hey Guys, I am going to build a portable itx pc in the Raijintek metis plus and would like any suggestions as to any imporvements. 16. My main thought process was that it may give better wifi connection if in a room that has bad connection
  17. Hey there, I am off to university later this year and am sorting out what I need to maximise my technology usage, and need some advice about the networking situation. Af far as I know, university networking involves a central switch connected to each room with ethernet ports in each room to connect devices to. Is it possible to purchase a router and use the ethernet in the wall to make a functioning router? Many thanks
  18. the perfect laptop would be one that is good at gaming (for the price) and that has a battery life of around 6 hours.
  19. I would purchase the laptop here in the UK. Weight doesn't really matter unless it is stupidly heavy and battery life needs to last for at least 6 hours
  20. Replacement wing mirror glass for my car as the old one decided to fall off on its own whilst I was driving
  21. I am looking to purchase an external storage source and would like some help plz. will be used to back up important work and to transfer files from University/College to my home setup Budget: £50, $65, $85CAD Is it ok to carry a portable HHD in the long term or is it worth going for a portable SSD Is it worth purchasing a USB-C drive when transferring files (Is there benefits for the future or extra compatibility)? If i were to purchase a portable SSD, is it worth waiting a few months to see if prices fall or for better capacity for this price? Manny Thanks
  22. I currently use the G402. I use the same type of grip but maybe more towards a claw grip. The mouse has good tracking and amazing software customisability for the extra buttons. My main problem is that with my grip, the G4 button and sniper button are awkward to press. To solve this problem you can easily adjust what each button does so it is a less important role for the button.
  23. Hey guys (and gamer grills) I live in the UK and will soon be going to University (or college for the Americans). I have decided not to take my tower build as it is too big nor powerful enough considering it is 5 years old (fx-6300, 750ti, 8gb ddr3), and i have decided to buy a laptop or 2 to meet my needs. I will need a laptop with a battery life of at least 6 hours but that will also pull in decent gaming performance (or with a noticeable improvement over my tower of a 750ti) I am looking to spend £1200, $1500 or $2000 CAD Please can someone advise me for what approach or even suggest any laptops that i could get I would be willing to get 2 laptops within the budget, 1 with good battery life and 1 for gaming Or A laptop such as a blade stealth that is a mix of the 2 (I think) Many Thanks
