  1. Well we're not boyfriend/girlfriend anymore since we're married now but my wife and I met in high school. We were best friends before we were a couple and we're still best friends now.
  2. I'm just going to spend some time with my wife and then afterwards watch my wrestling and play some video games. Tomorrow I'm taking her out to eat to celebrate our anniversary. Technically it was yesterday but we weren't able to celebrate it then. We'll be celebrating it tomorrow.
  3. I see. Well do you have a recommendation on what would be a suitable monitor then? Preferably one that's curved since I want to experience what that's like. I've been gaming on PC only for a few years so I'm still new to everything. I'm learning little by little so I sometimes have to depend on the advice of people who have far more experience than I do. I do see your point though and take your advice seriously. I may take your advice and if anything, keep my 4K monitor as a second display and have the ultrawide be my main one. I've been watching some videos and doing some more research these past few hours and from what I can see graphically and resolution-wise, it doesn't look like I'll notice much difference between the 1440p and 2160p resolutions. Mind you, I came to this assumption after watching some comparison videos and I'm aware that actually using these resolutions myself, in person, I MAY notice some differences that I may not be happy with, hence why I will most likely take your advice and keep my 4K monitor as my second one.
  4. I will thank you for your reply and thank you for being civil. I want to purchase a gaming monitor both for gaming and multitasking. My PC is mostly used for gaming but I also use it for other things. Sometimes I'll be playing a game on one screen while "watching" something on the other screen. Another situation is where I'm gaming on one screen and maybe on the other screen I'd have to look up something. Being able to do all of this with an ultrawide that can do split screen would be awesome. As for my gaming I definitely understand where you're coming. Right now I'm able to play most new releases in 4K on high-ultra settings easily. Obviously I may have to lower certain settings like shadows depending on the game but for the most part I'm quite happy with my experiences. I don't have a FPS counter on and I don't pay attention to that but so far I've very, very rarely run into a situation where the frames dipped so bad it was noticeable and prevented me from enjoying the game. Basically I'm just looking to take what I already experience on my Samsung 4K monitor and just experience it on an ultrawide. Thanks for the monitor recommendation. It's frickin beautiful and it looks like it may be exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not in any particular hurry to upgrade, just getting advice on what would be best for me and making a list. Upgrading my computer desk is my priority right now. Going to get an L-shaped desk.
  5. I would thank you for your response but since you were slightly rude I won't do that. Why don't I game on the 144 Hz G-sync monitor? Because the resolution only goes up to 2560x1440. I will edit my post to make it more clear but when I said "The refresh rate doesn't matter to me as long as it's not lower than 60" what I specially meant was that I don't care if the monitor itself is only capable of 60. I know full well a lot of games can't do 60fps in 4K.
  6. Hello everyone. I'm new here. I’m looking to upgrade to an ultrawide monitor but I want to game in 4K. Currently I’m using a dual monitor setup. One is a Samsung UE590 Series 28" LED 4K UHD Monitor (which I mainly game on in 4K) and the other is a Dell S2716DG 27" WQHD 144Hz G-Sync Gaming LED Monitor (which is mostly used for multi-tasking). I’ve been searching around for a good ultrawide monitor but it’s been a little difficult to find exactly what I’m looking for. So far the LG 34WK95U-W 34" Ultrawide 5K2K LED monitor looks like it may suit my needs but I want the opinion of some of you guys. I know this monitor was reviewed by Linus and I did watch the video but my needs are very specific and I feel the video didn't fully address that. All I really care about in a monitor is whether I can game in 4K. The max refresh rate that the monitor is capable of doesn’t matter to me. It doesn't have to be 144 Hz. I understand a high refresh rate is important for competitive multiplayer games but I don’t like those kinds of games and I only play single player. If I do play something multiplayer it’s only an MMO. I use Nvidia GPUs and I know G-Sync is particularly helpful but I've used monitors that have FreeSync instead of G-Sync and I've been okay so G-Sync isn't a big focus for me. I also know not every game supports ultrawide but I know some do and it would be great to experience that. It would also be nice to be able to multitask with one monitor that allows you to split screen since there won't be any bezels in the middle, hence the reason why I want to move away from the dual monitor setup. If anyone knows a monitor that would be even better for my needs I’m open to suggestions. A curved screen would be a big plus. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who replies.
  7. This is a pretty damn awesome monitor. Just watched the review on it. Hopefully we get more like these.
