Hey guys. I've been getting really annoyed with my laptop lately. It's an acer Aspire V5-571G and is about 2 years old. The problem is the screen has terrible white patches on the side of the screen. Ok, so it's got some kind of damage, right? Well the strange thing is it moves depending on which side I put down in my bag. I have no idea what is going on here because I've never encountered any kind of bleed that can move wherever it wants

I'm not sure how it works with NVidia but AMD uses "Switchable Graphics" because the display runs through the Intel HD. From memory in the NVidia control panel you can configure high performance mode or something like that but it's been a while since I've used a NVidia system.

Unfortunately that is just the Service Pack 2 disc. If you were installing XP I'm sure you could get it for like $5 these days or if you already have a serial on an old case or something then just download and burn an iso

Seriously though, did anyone not see this coming?

It varies a lot depending on prices at the time but personally I like the G. Skill RipjawsX 1600MHz because that's always cheaper than other stuff here in NZ
