  1. I said in the post I've built outside of the case and it still occurred. Hardware is known good up until 1-2 months ago Now both sets experiencing same issue
  2. SO Let me preface this by saying it has been a 2 month troubleshooting process on and off because of my work. Im going to try to make this as clear as possible to understand System 1 - 10900KF 6900XT 700W PSU Randomly Began having hard power shut offs, system turns to black cuts power 1-2 seconds later hear a relay in the PSU clicking. Had ALREADY been fine for 6 months prior having NO issues Swapped to 12900kf 6900XT 700W PSU Still having same hard power shut offs - People recommended new PSU Thinking it was transient spikes, I didnt think so because a 600w, 700w neither had issues. Purchased a GF1 850 Same issues Tried Swapping Ram dimms(2 kits ) and different slots New Cooler - Temps Well within normal Removing storage - Still occurred within bios Building outside of the case - Still happened Two Different Circuits & outlets in my apartment - Still Happened At a friends apartment in a different complex - Still happened + MORE ONLY Things ive noticed is the ground pads on the motherboards ( Both) Are messed up, Wondering if the Z490 My 10900kf is on is just Dead out of luck, this one typically cuts out sooner, and the 12900kf just needs bios settings tuned, its an MSI- A Pro non wifi DDR4 but its still unstable as hell; I can get about 15 runs in on timespy extreme before it crashes. Ive got 2 CPU/Mobo combos, 2 sets of SSDs, Ram, GPU, 3 PSUs and 2 coolers. Thinking its a destroyed mobo but hard to tell.
  3. No I've tested in and outside of cases to eliminate shorts, ground pads on both boards are effed up In some spots but
  4. Okay; So. system was TURNING OFF, then clicking (relay inside PSU) with forced reboots(Temps are FINE); Replaced PSU. 15 Runs in on TS Extreme. Same situation. Removed a ram stick, same situation. Removed the other and switched to new ram, same situation. Temps are normal. Changed to a new Power strip same outlet. Same situation. Removed FPANEL header and external USB keyboard, same situation. Tried two different outlets; two different power strips; This issue did just randomly arrive in the past month or two; mini fridge is on this circuit as well as other stuff but nothing else loses power; u.s Iowa; Older housing but not that old been maintained. NEW CIRCUIT DIDNT WORK CPU Temps are FINE changed BACK to 10900KF STILL happens but Faster, Even when trying different ram in different slots and NO RAM in the system. any idea please I'm begging Clicking like you'd hear during an OCP/OPP shutoff like a relay being cleared (I've got a 10900K, Z490, 2 sets of ram, a 12900K, z690, 2 GPUs, and 3 PSUs and cannot figure this tf out);
  5. You're basically suggesting trial and error through anything external: I've had it booted into BIOS before and it'll still hardcrash! Last I recall only had a USB receiver for my mouse plugged in. Could go from there.
  6. Issue is not that it doesn't post it's that it turns off hard crashing. Already tested it outside of a case
  7. Already tested without a GPU. I don't think a UPS is going to solve it because this has just started occurring, I've taken off cables I've used three different power supplies two different coolers Already built outside of the case
  8. Tried it outside of a case on a cardboard box. I'm going to retest the 10900K F Tonight but system had similar issues with both
  9. Okay; So. system had clicking with forced reboots; Replaced PSU. 15 Runs in on TS Extreme. Same situation. Removed a ram stick, same situation. 10. Yea; I havent heard much about software. So good to know Cyberpowers actually got good software. I figure APCs is just more industry focused
  11. Any benefit of this model in comparison to others; Besides greater wattage? Anything that can ensure greater stability to my desktop; Wanting to make a good decision regarding this but to be frank if its more than what I need and its price reflects that, no reason point of me getting it. Eitherway; I probably wont go purchase one in person itll probably be shipped.
  12. APC DEFINITELY well known I feel like I see lots of them; But whats the benefits of either of this cyberpowers over the model I linked.
  13. Looking for a UPS to solve my issue with bad/inconsistent wall power causing my system to hard shutdown Thinking between this https://www.apc.com/us/en/product/BN1500M2/apc-backups-pro-1500va-tower-120v-10-nema-515r-outlets-lcd-1-usb-type-c-+-1-usb-type-a-ports/ and this https://www.costco.com/cyberpower-1500va--900-watts-true-sine-wave-uninterruptible-power-supply-ups.product.4000091462.html I know I should be looking for a auto voltage regulating unit but not much else. Im open to other options. Trying to stay around for use with this system https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kYqnFs
  14. My biggest issue is bad wall power causing my system to shut off. Tested EVERY component only to figure out it was bad wall power. Wasnt an issue until the last 1-2 months. Replaced the PSU Thinking the unit I had degraded and transient spikes were screwing me. unfortunately my entire apt( the majority of wall outlets ) are on a singular circuit
  15. What should I be looking for in a UPS; Been told to look for some sort of Auto voltage regulation as well as true sine wave rather than simulated. I'd like recommendations, but this is the unit I was looking at. https://www.costco.com/cyberpower-1500va--900-watts-true-sine-wave-uninterruptible-power-supply-ups.product.4000091462.html any other alternatives or draw backs in this price range. its for a relatively hefty rig all things considered. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kYqnFs
  16. Well; My rational is that the sound clearly originated right before or during a system shut off; Which lead me to believe its a PSU Issue and others suspected it was being caused by a transient spike. It is definitely just ONE click like a realy being cleared. I was hesitant because I knew that this system had a 10900kf and a 6900XT fully overclocked and NEVER had issues before. When it was removed from the case, it only had 2 fans and a pump from a Z63 connected to it. Nothing else besides Keyboard, USB dongle for mouse etc. So I am still fairly confident the sound IS coming from the PSU. When I connected the cables directly to my Isotel Ultra 4 Filterbank, I could HEAR the arcing. So not sure if thats directly from this or from a bad filterbank as this is an older version.
  17. Okay; So. system had clicking with forced reboots; Replaced PSU. 15 Runs in on TS Extreme. Same situation. Removed a ram stick, same situation. Removed the other and switched to new ram, same situation. Temps are normal. Changed to a new Power strip same outlet. Same situation. Removed FPANEL header and external USB keyboard, same situation. Clicking like you'd hear during an OCP/OPP shutoff like a relay being cleared next step is a new circuit and then maybe a UPS? (I've got a 10900K, Z490, 2 sets of ram, a 12900K, z690, 2 GPUs, and 3 PSUs and cannot figure this tf out);
  18. When im talking about the whole apartment I meant more so as ALL of the rooms; Ranch style homes, four per building, do have access to the circuit breaker; No one elses rooms have issues; Only thing running my room is a minifridge which I do also hear click but always just assumed it was due to a condenser kicking on. No; Not utilizing a generator... thought about buying a used UPS @ my colleges surplus sale and replacing the batteries before wont lie; Kinda tempting now especially.
  19. Yeah going to be honest This is very very very very very very annoying for me to troubleshoot. I understand the benefits of a UPS but fuck I did not want to spend another After people told me it was a "definitely a bad power supply" When it ran fine on a 10900K and 6900xt 700w Antec negz C tier
  20. The entire apartment is on a singular circuit from my understanding; No one else has issues but me. Just did it with a SSD only and it just happened again. This is literally just started occurring within the past month or two months It is infuriatingly annoying how hard this has been to troubleshoot with everything that I have access to . What are your thoughts on buying a used UPS and replacing the batteries.
  21. Tried two different outlets; two different power strips; This issue did just randomly arrive in the past month or two; mini fridge is on this circuit nothing else loses power; u.s Iowa; Older housing but not that old been maintained. Removed the other and switched to new ram, same situation. Temps are normal. Changed to a new Power strip same outlet. Same situation. Removed FPANEL header and external USB keyboard, same situation. **Tried direct into wall same situation. Tried outside of the case; SAME SITUATION** about to try it without a GPU but I'd like everyone's thoughts (I've got a 10900K, Z490, 2 sets of ram, a 12900K, z690, 2 GPUs, and 3 PSUs and cannot figure this tf out);
  23. So I initially thought I only had a 30-day return., turns out it's 60 with total tech, so I could absolutely test it out for a while and then return it if need be. But I think this is what I'm going to go with. Realistically if I have to close a tab or two to render I won't care
