  1. It has been over 30 minutes and it is still looping. Any other ideas?
  2. I'll give it a try. Thank you very much.
  3. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with my problem. I recently finished putting together my build which consists of an Asrock B450M pro 4 motherboard, ryzen 5 5600 and 16gb or team group 3000mhz ram. I bought the motherboard second hand and was told a bios update was performed so a 5000 series CPU would work. I have built a few systems before so I am pretty sure everything is plugged in the correct place. I am having an issue getting the pc to post though. The pc boots for 10-20 seconds then reboots. I do not get any signal up on the monitor when connected to the system. It is my suspicion that the BIOS has not in fact been updated. If so Is there a way of updating the BIOS without an older generation CPU as I do not have access to one. Thank you for any help in advance.
  4. Hello I am currently having trouble with windows 10 booting properly. When I log in I usually get a grey screen (about 90% of the time). I can however boot into to safe mode and windows runs fine. I cannot find any software that would cause this issue but have uninstalled any recent software to be sure, When it does work and I try to run games the game either wont load or they crash after a few minutes. I have tried cleaning the drives via CMD, updating and uninstalling drivers, flashing the BIOS, I was having other blue screens come up but removing my old mechanical hard drives seems to have solved that issue. I have tried restoring to a previous point which did not work, refreshing the PC does not work, I cannot even create a new bootable USB to install a fresh install of windows as i get the following error code: 0x8007043C-0x90018 I even tried creating a bootable USB of Linux which I could do but not even that would boot. Does anyone have any other ideas before I set my PC on fire and give up completely? Thanks in advance My specs are as follows: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz Asus X99-s 16gb of ddr4 2133 Zotac RTX 2070 Adata XPG SX8200PNP m.2 drive 500gb Crucial BX500 250gb SSD
  5. I don't know anyone has suggested this yet but please tell me there are plans to review and tare down that new Atari VCS. I doubt I'll get one but it would be an interesting watch.

  7. Hello I am looking to order a 500gb m.2 drive. I am on a budget so looking to spend no more than £65. I was going to buy this one: Crucial CT500P1SSD8 P1 500 GB (3D, NAND, NVMe, PCIe, M.2, Solid State Drive) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07J2WBKXF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_oz2bEbAEKQXH4 But looking at some reviews is bit as fast as the 1tb version and apparently overheats. I have also been looking at following: Sabrent 512GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD High Performance Solid State Drive (SB-ROCKET-512) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KGMBCKD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TC2bEb58FA0QS this one has good reviews but could not find many reviews of the 512gb ones about. I am aware that Samsung make some of the to m.2 drives but these seem a bit of of my budget, especially as I'm restricted to Amazon as I am paying for it with Amazon vouchers I got for Christmas. Does anyone have any advice? I have an Asus X99-S motherboard running an i7 5820k. Please also be aware that I'm UK based so would most likely be purchasing from Amazon UK. Thank you
  8. Thank you for your responses. They are very much appreciated.
  9. The ones I looked up on Amazon had no indication (in the description anyway) that it would run at 144hz. When looked in the questions and answers section of each one I checked people said they would only do 60hz.
  10. Hello. I got a very lovely new monitor for Christmas which I would very much like to use. Only problem is my graphics card only has a DVI port, 3 mini display ports and I mini HDMI port. The plan was to run from the display port of my monitor but I cannot seem to find an adaptor to convert to mini display port that can run at 144hz. I have heard that this is better than hdmi. Could anyone point me in the right direction of an item that will solve my problem? Failing that I do have 2 hdmi ports on the back of my monitor. Many thanks
  11. Hello. I currently have a Palit GTX 980 4gb and was wondering if there was any need to upgrade to something like a 1660 super or RTX 2060? I only game at 1080p and as I have only recently bought a high refresh rate 1080p monitor have no interest in higher resolutions right now. If the answer is "there is no need to" would anybody be able to give me some recommended seeing for my card for MSI afterburner please? If you need to know my spec I am running an i7 5820k, 16gb ddr4 2400mhz and an Asus X99-S motherboard. Thank you for any advice
  12. Thanks for all the above given everyone. I'll take it all into consideration but it does seem that the red dragon is going to be a better choice for me and my wallet. Thanks again.
  13. I have had a little go on a g413 but as I have never had a go on anything else I can't compare it to anything. There are more people on team Red Dragon at the moment so maybe I'll give that a go.
  14. Thanks for the replies. I'll wait for a couple more before making a decision.
  15. Hello I have never owned a mechanical keyboard and have tried very few of them. I am looking at possibly getting one but do tend to love spending as little money as possible. I like the look of the Logitech g413 which I have had a quick try on. It is currently around the £60 mark on Amazon. While looking at this though I have also seen a flood of cheaper mechanical keyboards with imitation cherry switches. There is one called a red dragon k552 which seems to have the highest reviews. Can anyone tell me if the g413 is actually the better bet and is actually worth £20 more? Is there anything else I should be looking at within my budget? I am UK based so a UK layout is going to be a must. Thanks in advance
