  1. Case took a while to get delivered but it seems like the CMOS battery replacement fixed it. Thanks!
  2. BIOS is the latest version, and it's hard to tell exactly when the issue started since I don't unplug it for long periods of time. The PC was off overnight and I unplugged it this morning for an hour or two. I'm not sure which options you're thinking of.
  3. Honestly now that I think about it, it might have started happening when I got my audio interface, so it might be because of a USB devices. I'll test it out later today, or tomorrow morning. I'm rebuilding the PC and putting it in a new case so might as well replace the CMOS battery while everything is apart. UPS is a bit expensive right now but I will for sure get one later down the line. Thank you for the suggestions!
  4. Hi, I have kind of a weird issue. I usually unplug my PC during thuderstorms just to be safe. I noticed that every time I plug it back in, the first time I press the power button, the computer almost immediately shuts down. After it shuts down I press the button again and it works just fine. Only happens after it's been unplugged, every other boot is just fine. These are my specs: - Asus Tuf B450-Plus Gaming - Ryzen 5700x - Radeon RX 7800 XT - Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB 3200 MHz - Antec HCG 750W Power supply and motherboard were purchased back in 2019 and almost everything was upgraded since then. Should I be worried or just ignore the "issue". Any help is appreciated.
  5. I replaced the AMD card with an Nvidia one relatively recently so that's why I mentioned relive. The new drive is on the way. Thank you for your response!
  6. Thank you for all your feedback! I'm torn between the 990 pro and the SN850X right now. Both seem great and the difference in price is only around 20€ in favor of the SN850X. Both have 5 years of warranty, and I've seen that the WD option is regarded as reliable. The drive would be primarily a boot drive and for some game storage. Any input would be highly appreciated!
  7. Any other brands I should look at?
  8. I don't really have any important data on my PC, but I think it's better to be safe than sorry if Kingston drives are not very reliable. I was thinking of getting a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB since I am planning to buy a whole new PC in the next year or so and I could transfer it easily. I don't really mind the fact that I won't get the maximum speed for a while.
  9. Hi! I was playing a game with some friends and while playing my whole computer froze and when I rebooted the SSD which is the boot device was not recognized. After doing a power cycle I rebooted again and it still wasn't recognized as a boot device but after another reboot I got into the bios and it appeared and has worked seemingly fine since then. The SSD in question is Kingston NV1 purchased in 2021. I noticed that in hwinfo it has over 150TBW and is at 75% health. My assumption is that Nvidia share and AMD relive use the boot drive as a cache for clips that aren't saved yet but I am unsure. Also hwinfo says the SSD never reached anywhere near the max temp and was never at max temp. The rest of my PC: Asus tuf b450 gaming, 32 gb Corsair vengeance lpx at 3200MHz, Ryzen 5700x and RTX 2070 super with an antec HCG 750W power supply. Windows logs don't show anything other than the unexpected shutdown. Should I consider buying a replacement and getting a fresh windows install?
  10. It was a cheaper Lenovo IdeaPad and it was connected with the same cable. And no I wasn't able to try a different cable.
  11. Over HDMI it works fine, but with the same cable and different monitor it has the same issue. Display section only has settings for the internal display, but on the other laptop it works at full 1440p 165 Hz.
  12. Hi! I'm having issues with using a usb c to displayport cable. I bought a Dell G2724D and it arrived with a cable included so I wanted to use it but I just get no signal output to it from my Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16ACH6 laptop. I've tried another laptop too but that one works perfectly. All of my drivers are up to date and it shows up as a Billboard device but there is just no output. The user manual says that the usb c port that I am plugging into supports DP 1.4.
  13. Thanks for the responses! I'll hold off with the purchase until I pick up a decent tower cooler since the airflow in my case is not the best.
  14. Hi! I've been planning on upgrading to a 5700X from a Ryzen 2600 and wanted to know is the Wraith Stealth that came with my 2600 enough for an 8 core CPU. I've looked online and keep finding mixed opinions so I thought I'd ask here. I know both CPUs have 65W but I've noticed that TDP doesn't really tell the whole story. If not, could I possibly do something in my BIOS to make it not clock as high in tasks as occasional video editing/rendering as I don't need the maximum potential as I have an RX 580 for now which is a pretty decent bottleneck anyway. I also have 2 120mm fans on my side panel that blow air on top of the stock cooler too, since my case doesn't have a glass side panel. Also my motherboard is an Asus Tuf B450 plus Gaming. Thanks in advance!
  15. I have the Asus TUF B450 Plus Gaming motherboard and I am currently running a Ryzen 2600 and I was wondering if the 5700X would work perfectly fine in the motherboard. I know the CPU is officially supported but I don't wanna ruin my motherboard if the CPU is too much for the VRMs. I also have a case with 2 fans on the side panel that point directly onto the cpu/ram/vrm and 1 exhaust fan. My PSU is an 80+ Gold 750W unit so it most likely won't be an issue. Thanks in advance for your help!
