  1. It was a cheaper Lenovo IdeaPad and it was connected with the same cable. And no I wasn't able to try a different cable.
  2. Over HDMI it works fine, but with the same cable and different monitor it has the same issue. Display section only has settings for the internal display, but on the other laptop it works at full 1440p 165 Hz.
  3. Hi! I'm having issues with using a usb c to displayport cable. I bought a Dell G2724D and it arrived with a cable included so I wanted to use it but I just get no signal output to it from my Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16ACH6 laptop. I've tried another laptop too but that one works perfectly. All of my drivers are up to date and it shows up as a Billboard device but there is just no output. The user manual says that the usb c port that I am plugging into supports DP 1.4.
  4. Thanks for the responses! I'll hold off with the purchase until I pick up a decent tower cooler since the airflow in my case is not the best.
  5. Hi! I've been planning on upgrading to a 5700X from a Ryzen 2600 and wanted to know is the Wraith Stealth that came with my 2600 enough for an 8 core CPU. I've looked online and keep finding mixed opinions so I thought I'd ask here. I know both CPUs have 65W but I've noticed that TDP doesn't really tell the whole story. If not, could I possibly do something in my BIOS to make it not clock as high in tasks as occasional video editing/rendering as I don't need the maximum potential as I have an RX 580 for now which is a pretty decent bottleneck anyway. I also have 2 120mm fans on my side panel that blow air on top of the stock cooler too, since my case doesn't have a glass side panel. Also my motherboard is an Asus Tuf B450 plus Gaming. Thanks in advance!
  6. I have the Asus TUF B450 Plus Gaming motherboard and I am currently running a Ryzen 2600 and I was wondering if the 5700X would work perfectly fine in the motherboard. I know the CPU is officially supported but I don't wanna ruin my motherboard if the CPU is too much for the VRMs. I also have a case with 2 fans on the side panel that point directly onto the cpu/ram/vrm and 1 exhaust fan. My PSU is an 80+ Gold 750W unit so it most likely won't be an issue. Thanks in advance for your help!
  7. It's not a thing anymore for some reason. Now it's supposed to automatically detect which driver version you need as there are Pro graphics cards but apparently my laptop's integrated graphics are for professionals. There's a toggle to switch the workload from graphics to compute and back but that doesn't seem to do anything on my computer, and is also missing from the laptop's settings.
  8. Hi. I have an issue with my laptop, a Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro, the model is 16ACH6 with integrated AMD graphics. I noticed that when installing the drivers from the Lenovo website I don't get the Adrenalin software packaged with it but when I download it from the AMD website, installer and file both say it's the Adrenalin edition but after it installs it's the PRO version that has features that I don't need but I'm missing some features that are available on the Adrenalin version. Also have tried to install the software itself from the Microsoft store but that version is a year out of date too. Tried using DDU multiple times which didn't fix the issue as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
  9. I tried with that shortcut and nothing happens, just a loading icon for a split second and it disappears. Even with Ctrl alt delete won't open. Also scanned for malware and found nothing.
  10. Hi! I've been struggling with this issue for a few hours now. PC boots perfectly fine in safe mode but after rebooting into normal mode, after lock screen the screen just turns black and i can only see my cursor. Can't open anything including task manager. Power cycling and uninstalling GPU drivers didn't fix the issue, but i was able to use it for around 5 reboots while reinstalling the drivers but the issue came back. Tried chkdsk, SFC scannow and dism commands which all found no issues and didn't really do anything. Also a rollback fixed it temporarily, and after another cold bootup it just started happening again and my rollback disappeared which I'm assuming is because i uninstalled the latest quality update. Any help would be appreciated!
  11. You can go into Windows settings, and under display, at the bottom there is a "Graphics settings" thing you can click. Press browse, add Minecraft, press options and pick high performance which should be the dedicated GPU.
  12. I completely forgot about about crystal disk mark. It's full speed, but I still have no idea why it's not showing up but that doesn't seem to be an issue
  13. So I've installed the XPG Gammix S5 SSD on my Asus Tuf b450-plus gaming board, and it's not showing up as an M.2 SSD, but it does show up in the boot manager. Will it be able to utilize full speed if it's not showing?
  14. Your issue is that the Ryzen 3700x doesn't have an integrated GPU. You can't get a signal because nothing can give a signal to a display. You MUST use a dedicated GPU for that build.
  15. Yeah, prices were bad back in january when I got the 580 and 590s were not even available. Also there's an Asrock 590 also available. I RMA'd their 580 which was quite loud and was hitting 85°C on a hot day, don't know if the 590 cooler is much better
