Zapawaf got a reaction from Mnky313 in Laptop Keyboard going crazy. Send help!
So I took it apart and realized I didn't have the appropriately sized screwdrivers to take it all the way apart. Upon removing the back cover, I did find a screw stuck to the back plate that looked an awful lot like a hard drive screw. Sure enough, 1 drive was missing a screw. Reseated the keyboard plug that I could reach (I assume there's another buried on the other end), turned it on for kicks and giggles, and so far seems good to go. I'm betting on that screw messing things up for me because the keyboard ribbon was nice and snug before I reseated it.

So if anyone has this issue in the future, ask them if they're an idiot who swapped drives at some point and lost a screw.. lol. Appreciate the help!
