In most games, both on my SSD and HDD, I have been getting short freezes (0.5-1 sec) for the past 2 weeks. These have increased in length and severity over time, even after the Windows reinstall.
So far, I have:
‣Formatted both drives completely and reinstalled Windows.
‣Reinstalled all drivers.
‣Defragmented the hard drive and optimised the SSD.
‣Completed a Memtest which found no errors.
‣Completed a HDD + SSD scan with both Seagate Tools and Samsung Magician. Again, no errors.
‣Installed a new PSU (the EVGA unit listed) and rebuilt my PC in a new case to lower temperatures.
My specs:
Asus PRIME B350M-A
Ryzen R7 1700 3.0GHz w/ AMD Wraith Spire
Crucial Ballistix Sport 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz
ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1070 AMP! Edition
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
Seagate FireCuda 2TB
EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W (80+ Gold)
Fractal Design Meshify C
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64
The system is using the High Performance power plan.
Any ideas on what could possibly be going wrong?
Anything helps.
Thank you in advance.
