  1. This itx case's ability to use four 140mm fans as an option to more standard smaller fan arrangements benefits by enabling to shift large volumes of air at lower rpm and thus lower noise levels. Further, the majority of the heat generated by my selected 1080ti "blower" card is ejected directly out the rear rather than into the inner spaces of the case where other components could be affected. A big bonus of using CPU air cooling (NH-D15S) is that it forces cooler air directly across the VRMs, assisting a stable CPU overclock in an otherwise "compromised" densely concentrated component build.
  2. Here's my Core 500 build that I did 3 years ago & still runs like a dream for 4K gaming & no immediate reason to upgrade : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/PbCbt6
  3. I've been playing aroung with my overclocks quite a bit on the GPU and managed to achieve all sorts of profiles by undervolting and overclocking the card using MSI Afterburner with Heaven benchmark running. Some are more stable than others in games. The card's natural overclock (~1835MHz) I can attain at a setting of 925mV down fron 1.062mV - so that gives a decent reduction in temps of about 4-5C resulting in lower fan spin and noise.
  4. Thanks - may very well investigate. Got to say I do like his channel - find it one of my more regular go-to's for things like his itx builds - especially liked the one a few months ago where he built a cheap system in my own case, the FD Core 500 - I think even Steve was surprised by the cooling capabilities of the case. Quick follow-up - can only see his optimizations for AC Odyssey but probably translocates to Origins as well.
  5. I've played Assassin's Creed Origins now for 1+ years at 4K all settings at ultra and am just able to achieve just below 60FPS over prolongued (6 hours+) of continuous play. This is acceptable but certainly highlights your point even where both my CPU and GPU are overclocked. Sure I can knock the settings down a bit, but then the game loses out on things like the beautiful cloud formations etc . which make playing this game at 4K ultra all the more appealing and taking the mild hit on frames.
  6. I have had the Zotac 1080ti Blower Card in its original configuration for about 2 years now - I have it overclocked at +118MHz and +236 MHz on memory using MSI Afterburner - I've run Furmark Open GL Vulkan at 3840 x 2160 in fullscreen mode for 30 minutes and it's remained stable- (Max GPU temp 73C / Max CPU temp 55C & Max Voltage 1.03V although most of the time throughout the test it stays at around 0.83V) - I have a 4.8GHz overclocked delidded i7-8700K CPU and use the Seasonic Focus Gold 850W PSU. 8. Hi Kenji - yes it fits fine - just a slither of air between the top of the DH-15S stack and the top case mounted Prolimatech 140mm fans - probably around 5mm at most but it all sits nicely , works quietly and feeds lots of external cool air into the case from above - if it helps you further by all means check out the blow link to my full build : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/PbCbt6
  9. Wondered if you ever did get your DH15 into your chosen case ? Here's what I managed with a D15S inside a Fractal Core 500.

  11. So - I'm currently wasting my efforts using the Userbenchmark platform for my build as a comparative mechanism ??
  12. Why am i getting "incomplete Gaming/Desktop/Workstation" Benchmarks and a "tree-trunk rating" in Online Userbenchmark Test Comparisons yet my CPU,GPU and RAM are all claimed to be performing as outstanding? However - my Optane accelerated HDD states "relative performance n/a - insufficient samples" - Does this mean that any optane acclerated system can't be properly benchmarked and compared even if it were working properly?
