  1. I am looking for remote desktop software where I can send microphone output from a remote device. I have Chrome Remote Desktop, but that doesn't support it. Apparently Microsoft Remote Desktop does, but you need the Pro version of Windows or a workaround which I'm not sure how to do.
  2. So I have a gaming laptop which I do game on. But this is also a work laptop which I do work on that doesn't need the discrete graphics. So I was wondering if it is possible to just turn off the discrete graphics and just run on the integrated graphics. I know that there is a Hybrid mode which "intelligently" switches what graphics to use, but I do want just that bit more of battery life if I had the discrete graphics turned off. My laptop is a Gigabyte G5 KE (12th Gen). It got a i5-12500H and a RTX 3060 Laptop GPU.
  3. Thanks for the info guys, I don't know about the overclocking and whatnot (if it is even possible with this machine) but I guess I just draw bad one on this unit. It was cheap with the performance I wanted, 1150USD for this i5-12500H and 3060 Mobile, with a free 8GB ram (that I didnt install as it might not be compatible so I went and sold it for one recommended by manufacturer) compared to units of same processors and no 8GB stick at around 1300~USD (which is a big difference here locally). I literally found the deal the day before I bought it and didn't found too much reviews other than older models saying its a good machine. I guess I'll switch back to 60hz and continue saving battery life and just plug a monitor that's capable of doing it (which I also bought around the same time, its a Gigabyte G24F 2.)
  4. So for the past several months, I have used my laptop on 60hz as it's blurry as hell at 144hz and I feel like I'm getting sick(also because I would need more battery life as a partially mobile user). I am currently on a break and would want to use the 144hz as it is there and experience how it feels. In a game (Overwatch 2) the action feels like someone smeared Vaseline over my screen. While scrolling in webpages, the text would just smear opposite the way I scroll. My unit is a Gigabyte G5 KE (12th Gen). Geforce Experience says my driver is latest at 531.41. I make sure that Vsync is off. I have set my unit to only use the discrete graphics card (a mobile 3060) instead of hybrid as the laptop display apparently uses the integrated intel xe graphics for displaying. Is this just get used to it or is there something wrong?
  5. My external drive has gone into "Caution" based on CrystalDisk and its Reallocation Sector count has reached 100, from the threshold of 36. I have lost some files over the course of this and would like to know if there are any good and free means of recovering such data. Additional info about the drive is that its a Seagate 1TB (ST1000LM035-1RK172)
  6. Which one should I try and look for? I know that DRAM-less is cheapest, next to ones with HMB then w/ DRAM being the most expensive. I know there is testimonials about DRAM-less SSDs being garbage, but those were SATA ones. I do video editing on the occasion which w/ DRAM apparently do help with. (Loading Project Files and what not.) I do recall HMB using the system memory as DRAM, but I am already limited as I am on a Laptop, even if its upgradeable. It apparently works? I just need opinions at this point. (Additional info, the slot I am upgrading onto is PCIe Gen3x4*1 M.2 2280) Suggestions on NVME SSDs to place into the system is useful, but location availability will definitely not allow me to get a bunch of SSDs, (cant find SKHynix SSDs from reputable stores here in my country).
  7. So I use Airplane mode to quickly turn off my Wifi and Bluetooth as to save battery percentage. Now it still tries to connect to internet whenever I turn it on and at times would just stay connected. How do I resolve this?
  8. I guess thats an option then, just move apps to SD card storage and then remove it when it will be serviced. And I get the whole copy the folder to my Desktop.
  9. Do you have links on how to use these and where I can download em? Can't seem to find anything just download links for apks and on softonic-like sites.
  10. I just want to completely backup my phone. Some of my apps most likely wouldn't work, or even fit, in my Google Drive, even if I make a new one.
  11. I am getting my phone's display fixed and it's still under warranty so I am getting it fixed in an official manner. In one of the forms I am filling up, it says that my phone's data might get lost, replaced or reformatted. (Although I know you can definitely replace most phone's screens without doing any of that stuff.) How do I go about backing it completely up as there is no repair/maintenance mode on my device (Black Shark 4, sub-brand of Xiaomi), and the back up feature of Xiaomi devices doesn't back up the stuff I want to back up (the app I use don't use the cloud.) Also thoughts on this: https://9to5google.com/2017/11/04/how-to-backup-restore-android-device-data-android-basics/
  12. Any good resources though? I mean I kinda know, kinda don't understand it to be honest when I was searching about it earlier. Bottlenecks will be bottlenecks and potentials will be potentials kind of things. As well as its barely noticeable unless you have X situation (DirectStorage thing).
  13. Thanks for the info guys. I'm just hesitating on using the 970 as it would be the boot drive of the new system, but as I can see its gonna get left way behind with Gen4 and maybe Gen5 (Although we are hitting a limit), as it is still a Gen3 drive. For the Power consumption I just honestly saw that it consumes twice of the SK Hynix one which kinda worries me as its on a laptop. I will take in mind the other models and brands you have suggested and look into it though I am willing to use the 970.
