  1. I would rather consider the CPU and maybe Amazon could trade it with an i7 8700k (which is supported by the motherboard right?) and its approximately the same price. My friend could just give them a few bucks more right? Btw its my friend's pc not mine. Or would you suggest me to send the motherboard back?
  2. My friend ordered both parts from Amazon. Would it be possible to send one part back and trade it or get the money back?
  3. I don't think so since the CPUs socket is LGA1151 and the motherboard supports 1151 or do you mean something different?
  4. Hello guys! So on monday I helped my friend with his build and we basically completed it. But his pc isn't starting properly ?. When pressing the power button, the fans start to rotate but stop after ~1 sec and nothing appears on the monitor(basically nothing happens afterwards). There is a LED on the motherboard which indicates, that the motherboard gets electricity. Furthermore, the manual of the motherboard says that there is a LED, which glows red when there is a problem with the CPU(According to the manuel it should glow red all the time until the problem is fixed). The weird thing is that this LED only blinks quickly red when trying to start the pc. Do you guys still think that this quick blink still is indicating an CPU error? Any help would be appreciated. His specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K MOTHERBOARD: ASUS ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 10-CM 600W I think these are the important specs for this case. Tell me when you need more information! Yours sincerely, Stefan
