  1. Hi everyone of this awesome community,

I have had the last two weeks the most head breaking problem whit my Bluetooth.

It just disappaered, no trace of Bluetooth ever existing on my laptop.

I go to setting but couldn't turn it on or off. couldn't add any devices.

I tried all this but whit no luck.

    Things that DID NOT work:

    1. Using the Windows 10 quick actions panel to turn on Bluetooth.
Result: This option did not appear at all.
    2. Using Control Panel's Bluetooth settings.
Result: This option did not appear at all.
    3. Device Manager - scanning for hardware.
Result: No effect.  Drivers for the hidden Bluetooth devices were already up to date.
    4. Windows Updates.
      Result: No effect.
    5. Reinstalling the recommended Acer drivers for the package (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377).
      Result: No effect.
    6. Performing a typical restart of Windows.
      Result: No effect.
    7. Using services.msc to start, restart, or reconfigure Bluetooth-related services.
      Result: No effect.
    8. Reinstalling third party driver packages for the same hardware.
Result:  The installer would not complete because the Bluetooth hardware was not detected.
    9. Windows Troubleshooter for Bluetooth.
Result:  The troubleshooter would not complete because the Bluetooth hardware was not detected.

The one thing that fixed it all!!

    1. Do a complete shut down (hold SHIFT and shut down the computer), unplug the computer from all power for 10 seconds, plug the computer in and start the computer.

It just reappeared and worked fine.

Finally this fucking he-adage of a problem is over. I wanted to share this because i noticed lots of people having this problem.

My network chip is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter in a Acer Aspire E5-575G ligthly modified whit extra ram and storage.

    Have a great day.

Try holding shift wile shutting down. IT fixed it for me.

So just press shift wile shutting down and don't have the power cable connected.

Then wait 30sec after avery fan has stopt spining every light has gone out.

    Then start it back up.

It just reappeard for me and i had the same insane problems

Minimal screen brightness might give you some extra time away from the wall... On the bright side laptop gets lighter when you remove battery. There should be some better built-in software to save batteries.

I'll just add, never ever leave laptop on the floor during winter night in a cabin that is only heated by fireplace.

True I would really like a button protect battery longevity at all cost.

  4. It's lithium, I used to cycle it quite a bit by watching movies and just using it unplugged at my desk. from 100 to 20%.

At my desk i would use high performance because if it drained the battery fast i could just plug it back in. At night and movie watching i always used battery saving and dimmed screen. Gaming was always plugged in to the wall and high performance. I play For Honor and Metro 2033 witch always would put the system under quite some stress.

  5. Hi everyone,

I have an Acer Aspire E 15 who is about 3 years old, I never dropped or damaged it in any significant way.

Since a month or so my laptop just dies at 70% whiteout any battery warning sign. To my relief it just seems to be an empty battery, plug it back in it restarts an everything is fine.

So i tried re calibrating my battery. But there is no option in the boot program and just changing the critical battery life to 0% in advanced battery settings and letting the battery go from 100 to when it drops out changes nothing.

I can however change the processor power management > maximum processor state. If i decrease this significantly 80% 50% 20% then the battery wil go lower to 65% 60% and 50%, But still no warnings before it just shuts down/ crashes.

How do I get a correct battery reading again?

If that's not possible or the battery(or some cells) are damaged then how do i get correct battery warnings back before it just drops out?

    Thanks in advance!
