After 4 days of banging my head against a wall in a futile attempt to get the four sticks of memory to overclock to 3200 speed, I think I've found the reality of the situation. Seems that 2ed generation Ryzen CPUs can only overclock two sticks of Ram. Put in four and it will always defaults to 2133. On the other hand, 3rd generation CPUs can overclock 4 sticks of ram to 3200. I've been wanting to upgrade to a 7 3700x for some time now, perhaps this will push me to spend my hard earned cash on a new CPU. Thanks for sharing in my frustration. Cheers Bart

I was told that it was, but I haven't looked so I can't swear on it. I'll have a look. The manual doesn't say which make, only to look at the QVL. Bart

I appreciate the attempt at help with this YT link. But, I tried that video two days ago with no success. Now you can start to understand what I've been through. I've pretty much tried all the YT videos the subject. And I've tried many timing changes in the BIOS, yet nothing seems to get it to 3200. Bart

I've tried manually setting the timings and voltages. Nothing seems to kick it up to 3200, it's still at 2133. Thanks

The motherboard I have is the Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming. ( Not the B450-F II ) Thanks

So populating all the slots might me an issue. I hold out hope that there might be a work-around for that. Do you know if two slots will work with 2 x 16 gb sticks? Thanks Bart

Hi Folks, I'm trying to upgrade my amount of Ram, 16 to 32. Currently the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8 overclocks at 3200, no problem. I try switching the ram to 4 x 8 sticks of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro and it won't overclock. It sits at 2133. I've spent 2 days working on the problem, tried every combination of advanced BIOS settings, but it still only comes up to 2133. Why will it not OC to 3200? Does the MoBo or CPU not like more than two sticks of Ram? Does it not like Corsair Vengeance? Any suggestions or incantations that you know of that will make it work? If not, what amount of memory and make do you know for sure will work. Will a different 7 3700X Ryzen CPU let it work correctly? Is it a problem with earlier generations of CPUs? Hi Folks, LTT needs to do a video on TPM, what it means, what can happen when it's activated through the UEFI, etc... I have it on my Asus B450-f motherboard, but I'm worried that if I activate it something may negatively change to my current setup. Please educate us Linus, you're our only hope. Hi Folks, Thought it was about time to start a home NAS. Wow, what a lot of stuff to learn. FreeNAS seems to be out for me because my PC doesn't support ECC memory. UnRaid costs more than I want to spend, What I want to know is what basic free NAS software is out there, and which are good and reliable. And the most important, easy to learn and set up. And doesn't require ECC memory. Thanks Bart

Hello Folks, I need to spend my hard earned cash on a new WiFi router. The current one that I use needs to be rebooted at least twice a day. Not fun. I was hoping I could get some suggestions for WiFi Routers in the $100 to $150 price range. So please, suggest some WiFi Routers and why you like it. Thanks Bart
