Hi Folks,
I'm trying to upgrade my amount of Ram, 16 to 32. Currently the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8 overclocks at 3200, no problem. I try switching the ram to 4 x 8 sticks of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro and it won't overclock. It sits at 2133. I've spent 2 days working on the problem, tried every combination of advanced BIOS settings, but it still only comes up to 2133. Why will it not OC to 3200? Does the MoBo or CPU not like more than two sticks of Ram? Does it not like Corsair Vengeance? Any suggestions or incantations that you know of that will make it work? If not, what amount of memory and make do you know for sure will work. Will a different 7 3700X Ryzen CPU let it work correctly? Is it a problem with earlier generations of CPUs?
