  1. I just can't win, bros
  2. So using a USB to 3.5mm DAC, the static noise stopped and I don't appear to be having the audio drops I was when I was just using digital. However, since switching to auxilary and still while using the DAC, for some reason when I play some games like Dead By Daylight or Cyberpunk 2077, there's a loud scratching sound. I don't hear the scratching when playing Overwatch or Bloons TD6. Though in Bloons TD6 there is a low volume static.
  3. Okay TRRS cables replaced with TRS ones and the same issues still occur
  4. I'll bookmark it. I probably wont upgrade until my current speakers give out on my though
  5. I'll try some TRS cables and report back To be fair I was in a much different situation when I bought the gaymer speakers years ago. They've done me well though. I'm no audiophile and can't even tell the difference between cheap and expensive headphones The setup I had for the last 6 months was having the audio through USB through a decent ~$100 KVM Switch. I was hoping the new KVM switch from L1T would fix it but it didn't and I decided to try auxiliary. When directly connected from speakers to PC there's no issue but going through either KVM switch I get frequent audio drops. It also only happens in Linux. I get no drops on my work laptop running Windows. I've tried troubleshooting it multiple times and thinking replacing my motherboard would be the next step if I wanted to switch back to USB.
  6. I just switched to auxiliary from digital due to an issue I was having over my KVM switch. Now I have new problems There's a low static noise and whenever I'm not playing anything there's a louder static noise after a few seconds All of my devices are connected to the same power strip as well. Just a random one I got from a discarded server cabinet years ago My setup: Asus PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard -> Line-Out -> UGREEN 3.5mm TRRS aux cord -> LevelOneTechs KVM Switch -> UGREEN 3.5mm TRRS aux cord -> Logitech G560 speaker system https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-x670e-pro-wifi/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M8ZMZ44?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details https://www.store.level1techs.com/products/p/14-kvm-switch-single-monitor-2computer-64pfg-7l6da https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-audio/g560-rgb-gaming-speakers.980-001300.html
  7. Then I also see cards like this that don't have an internal header so I don't know if they'd work outside of the machines they're made for https://www.qnap.com/en-us/product/qxp-t32p
  8. I'm looking for a Low-Profile PCIe Thunderbolt 4 card. I'd settle for Thunderbolt 3. I have a Hyte Y60 case limiting me to only low-profile PCIe cards except for the verticle mount slots for the GPU. I also have an Asus Prime X670E-Pro Wifi motherboard which is kinda weak sauce but would support a thunderbolt card on the PCIe 4.0 slot and has a TB_Header. I've seen some cards that would've been good but not sure on compatibility. Like one I saw from HP had a header that was 2x6 Pins and the header on my board is 13 Pins in a 2x7 configuration. I think that one was specific to HP workstations. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Socket AM5/PRIME_X670E-PRO_WIFI/E20194_PRIME_X670E_PRO_WIFI_UM_WEB.pdf?model=PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI https://hyte.com/store/y60?v=113
  9. I've been using the Logitech G903 mouse with the PowerPlay wireless charging mousepad for years and love it. However in recent months I've started to develop carpal tunnel pain and was looking for a vertical mouse. The Logitech MX Vertical looks great but I'd be stuck with a cable unless I want to (and I don't) worry about the battery. Does anyone know a good vertical mouse like the Logitech MX Vertical that support wireless charging or is it at all possible to mod the MX Vertical to support the PowerPlay puck?
  10. Like the pic below, I'm looking for a center gaming monitor and 2 monitors that would match it in height but vertically.
  11. I just watched the WAN Show clip where they talked about why they still use Amazon and it gave me an idea. What if there was a shopping site where none of the product listings were on the site itself? Instead of selling products, this site broadcasted product listings. Its child sites would use an API so that the parent site could automatically generate a product page. The consumer could shop across the site and not even know they're viewing listings from other sites (unless they payed attention). For link sharing, it could be like https://parent.com/child.com/product-listing/ For example, the child site would input information like: Product.Name: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor Product.Brand: AMD Product.Description: The best processor for gamers meets the best processor for creators, with 16 cores and 32 processing threads Product.Type: Processor Price: $799.00 Shipping.Option.1: 2 Day Shipping.Price.1: $2 Shipping.Option.2: 3-5 Day Shipping.Price.2: $0 Feature.Processor.Speed: 4.9 GHz Feature.Processor.Cores: 16 Feature.Processor.Threads: 32 Feature.Processor.Watts: 105 <html>More Information/Advertising</html> This could be a centralized approach where websites could pay a small fee to the central site to list their products or It could be implemented in the way that the Fediverse implements decentralized social networking and streaming services If you're unfamiliar with the Fediverse, you could for instance create your own site or join one using a software like Mastodon, Misskey, or Hubzilla. Then from that site, you can post and view others' posts from your instance or you can view posts from across the Fediverse on different sites. Fosstodon is a site that uses the Mastodon software to connect to the Fediverse and from there I can see posts from other instances like Silkheart, Neckbeard, or Bubbletea Fosstodon could also block other instances from reaching it, or I as a user could block them from reaching just me. The Fediverse also includes streaming services like PeerTube which allows you to create or join a site for videos
  12. You were right. Messing with the water loop makes me nervous so I wanted to do it in 1 shot which is why I asked first. I wasn't sure if there was enough of the threaded hole for the pipe to screw into but there was plenty
  13. The tube isn't built in, it comes in a bag. The manual that shows it's installation is very minimal and mentions an EK-Fitting that wasn't included
  14. I just had to replace me bad Corsair pump and went with the EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 D5 PWM D-RGB - Plexi To not have to redo my tubing, I used one of the top ports as an inlet The problem is with the splashing, as EK has included an internal tube, but not the 'EK-Fitting' shown in the manual I came here to ask if this EK-AF Pass-Through G1/4 - Nickel is the piece I need Thanks in advanced
  15. With Anthony's joke from the Why Are Circuit Boards Green video, now I wanna see LTT do a video on growing a plant in a PC. If it's water cooled, the plant can get water from the reservoir and they would just top off the reservoir every once in a while
