  1. I'm just writing what i see since the manual states that there's an issue with the component if the LED is lit. On this system it's only the cpu led that lights up shortly. After I have heard the actual incident, im starting to think it's the gpu, but that still doesn't explain why i can't get any video output with another gpu or even on another mobo
  2. I have updated the post to the actual story on the incident, not just what i could remember. Aside from that, the CPU is running stock and i'm running XMP on the ram. Though i don't have an extra ddr4 kit on hand, but i'm gonna try with a single stick
  3. I am currently trying to troubleshoot a pc i've built. I have not encountered any severe issues in almost 3 years, but last week it happened. The incident was described as such: The user was afk for some time and the monitor went into sleep mode. When he returned to the pc and "woke" the monitor, it was only displaying on half the screen, where it was downloading something while showing static to some extent (Couldn't get clarification on what was downloading/installing). He then pushed the reset switch and later on held the power button down. Since then i have had no video output signal. The fans start spinning up, the leds on the gpu works. The debug LED for a cpu error does light up (which indicates an error), but only for 5 seconds (this happens on both mobos). Even when i have changed to different gpu i still have no signal, so I don't know what else could be wrong, but with two different gpu's on two different mobos and still no signal, i'm clueless as to what the issue is. At this point i have litterally no idea what could be the issue and i'm thinking about just building an entirely new system. ANY help is appreciated The specs: Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 + stock cooler RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3600 C18 GPU: ASUS ROG Strix 5700xt oc PSU: CM V750 v2; formerly a corsair rm750x (which stopped working for no reason) Storage: WD Blue 3D NAND SSD 500gb + Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" ST2000DM008 - 2TB I have tried the following solutions: Switching between hdmi and dp output Changing PSU Changing mobo to a MSI B450M Bazooka MAX wifi Changed gpu to Nvidia GT710 Clearing CMOS
  4. Ryzen 5 3600 on a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max mobil. The game is World of Warships. At times it does spike to its advertised game clocks but it never stays there which is what worries me. Also i get 70-80 fps on 1080p ultra which doesn't seem right.
  5. Will do this tomorrow since i can't use the system atm. Though through MSI Afterburner i found that the core is sitting at around 54 degrees celcius Hwinfo shows that the core sits in the low fifties while junction temp is around 60. Memory sits in the mid fities. Should i be send it back to be sure or can it be fixed on hand? Note: All degrees are in celsius
  6. I have just bought a new Asus rog strix 5700 xt for a new build, but in-game it reaches around 1 ghz at max. I have made sure all the drivers are up to date. What could be causing it or is it just a faulty card?
  7. I am in the situation of looking at new phones. My current one (Galaxy S5), has held up for a quite a while now, could keep it for longer but its slow af, has battery drain issues and it's the 16gb version. I'm currently looking at either a Galaxy S10 or OnePlus 7 Pro. There is only a 50 dollar difference (which is feasible), with the S10 being the more expensive one. Atm i'm leaning more towards the Oneplus, with all the praise it has gotten at reveal, but i'm honestly not quite sure. What are your thoughts on this?
  8. We don't use the 'type E' outlet here in Denmark, but it is supported trough the plug. Basically you can't find a type E outlet anywhere in Denmark, we use type K and the EU standard 'type C'. You can sometimes run into a 'type F' outlets, but those are very rare. Source(different types of outlets): https://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/ Hope ya find what ya need and good luck with the move
  9. Parts back here in Denmark are a hell of a lot more expensive than in the US because of taxes. For example, the 1080ti at its lowest price point in Denmark was right after RTX 20xx series was released and that was approximately 860 dollars for a new one. Used wasn't much cheaper either. This is the best option, but as everyone else said, its gonna be expensive
  10. They have a department in Netherlands so it should be cheap, i don't think it's free
  11. Reinstalling the driver for the second time fixed the issue. A part of the problem could have been that that my power management in 3D settings had been reset to optimal power, I'm not sure though.
  12. I've been having some issues with low framerates on BFV lately and then i tried reinstalling the GPU driver(417.35), but ever since i reinstalled the driver, my GPU has downclocked to 139Mhz on the core and 101 on the memory clock. For information, I have a MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X. I don't what causes the issue and atm I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated, since i'm on edge right now
  13. My buddy has a 2080ti paired with a i5-8600K and averages around 200fps with dips down to 150, on 1440p. I'm running a i7-8700K paired with a 1080ti and bf5 is running smoothly on 165Hz 1440p Note: The fps are from bf5 mp and may vary depending on map
  14. I'm experiencing an issue where my DP doesn't detect any input, but my HDMI does and on top of that I have no option to enable G-sync. Life is great Specs: Monitor: ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q PC: ASUS ROG STRIX Gaming Z370-E Intel Core i7-8700K (stock atm) MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X Corsair Vengenance 3000, 16gb kit Windows 10 Home, 1803 I have tried turning off the computer and unplugging evrything and waiting a few minutes before plugging in again, still doesn't. I don't know why g-sync isn't working and I can't find anything online. I am using the DP that came with the monitor. Would appreciate any help. EDIT: After the 4th time of unplugging evrything and waiting half an hour it finally let me display through DP. The G-sync problem is also solved. Apparently you can't have G-sync while displaying through HDMI Sorry for having to post, but it was a brand new 2000$+ so i was becoming desperate. Have a nice day.
