  1. Hello. The first photo is of the ram in the system. (Red Light Only.) The second photo is the ram, I ordered today. (RGB) (Both of them are sold as kits.) THE LINK IS FOR THE FAN ONLY. 2. Hello. I ran a separate cable to the GPU. i also ordered (2) more DIMM cards to populate the other slots. I'm considering this 90% done. Again, I appreciate your input. (Pun, intended.)
  3. Hello. I ran a separate cable to the other GPU. I also just ordered (2) more sticks on RAM to populate the other (2) DIMM slots. At this point........There isn't any need for more than 32GB. I'm calling this 90% done. Again, I appreciate your input. ( Pun, intended.)
  4. Hello. I thought Corsair was (1) saving money in manufacturing cost, and (2) possibly making it modular (to a degree.) for (4) pin cards etc. or what have you. I was 90% on running another cable, Soooo, that's what I'll do. I appreciate your help.
  5. Good afternoon, Everyone. I woke up this morning, and started rummaging around in my closet. Just plain bored today. I grabbed a bunch of parts and, threw this together. I didn't really have a "Goal." in mind.........there wasn't any rhyme, or reason. I was curious about?................. what looks like a small length of cable coming from the end my GPU plug? I had four of these cards laying around,( Asus Turbo GEFORCE GTX 1070) and decided I would add another. I am going to run (2) cards SLI with a bridge. I haven't built anything, in about 7 years, and I am unfamiliar with this plug. Blah, Blah....Blah...O.K. Question: Do I put the 6+2 together, and plug it into the lower card (8) pin female? Or, do I just run another cable from the PSU directly to the other card? I don't want to damage anything? I appreciate your time.Thanks.

  7. Good afternoon. I have an opportunity to buy a 6900K for approx. $300.00 U.S. Used for about 1 1/2 years. Trustworthy source. Should I but it? Yeah, or Nay. Which leads to another question. ( I never really thought about.) Does a CPU have an average life span. Thanks.
  8. Hello. I purchased an Asus X99-E WS / USB 3.1 CPU I-7 6900k I was hoping to get recommendations for quad channel ram. I would like to populate 4 Dimm slots with 32GB's of ram, (Initially.) and at a later date......populate the other four slots with 32 GB's of ram. I was thinking about using the ram below (Link below,) Any thoughts? Thanks. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/DOMINATOR®-PLATINUM-32GB-(4-x-8GB)-DDR4-DRAM-3200MHz-C16-Memory-Kit/p/CMD32GX4M4B3200C16
  9. Hello. I appreciate you trying to help. "Overclockability." is most certainly "Not." the first thing you look at. I know you meant well, but that's bad advice. Thanks.
  10. New build with an Asus X99-E WS/USB 3.1 Motherboard. The build will be used for Content Creation/Engineering/Gaming. Votes on the CPU ( Intel I7-6900K Versus Intel Xeon E5- 2650 v4 ) would be greatly appreciated. Comments regarding pros and cons for each CPU will also be helpful. Thanks for your time. Additional information added; (2) ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 TURBO-GTX1070-8G SLI enabled. 64 GB'S of Kingston Ram. * The Intel Xeon E5- 2650 v4 has a Max Turbo Frequency of 2.90 GHz. *The Intel I7-6900K has a Max Turbo Frequency of 3.70 GHz. Is 2.90 GHz suitable for gaming? I was unaware that games require a minimum frequency, and am fairly certain, that you do not have to overclock a CPU to play games. I am "Not." a "Gamer." Thanks, Again.
