  1. Ye, its not a great solution but id rather have a government that is held accountable own arm to keep it neutral than have Nvidia just cutting companies they dont like off from ARMs technology 2 years down the road.
  2. Hi there everyone, i just made a petition on the UK government website with the aim to stop the sale of ARM to Nvidia and maybe prompt the government to buy ARM to maintain its neutrality. If you are a UK citizen or live in the UK you are allowed to sign this petition, If you agree with my aims please sign as if enough signatures are collected it will be discussed by the government. My petition: Intervene with the acquisition of ARM by Nvidia and make ARM state run. Nvidia plans to buy ARM (a semiconductor chip designing company) based here in the UK. This would give Nvidia unprecedented control over technologies licensed out to almost every tech company on the planet consisting of Apple, Qualcomm, Samsung, Amazon and many more. The acquisition could lead to market manipulation and a monopoly. Almost every mobile device contains ARM technology in it so it is crucial that ARM remains a neutral company to ensure continued innovation. link: <Removed by Staff>
  3. supposidly the 3950x uses binned chips but being that mine cant hit 3.9ghz all core boost half the time idk if thats actually true...
  4. it has CPU printed on the side of its connector and its a fixed cable in my semi mod PSU so its the right one
  5. i did, one of the screenshots attached is a HWinfo validation of my CPU
  6. So i just got my shiney new 3950x and a asus prime x570 pro motherboard, i noticed that when i put the CPU under load it throttles down to 3ghz (sometimes 2) and core voltages drop to 0.95. before you go is this person stupid, it never goes past 60 degrees celcius, i have the 8 pin plugged in, i have updated chipset drivers and bios to newest versions, i have tried disabling precision boost and re enabling it, i have tried using a different cooler (although that doesnt seem to be the issue) and i have tried re installing windows on 2 different drives, its the weekend and i cant get hold of AMD or ASUS customer service till monday. does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this other than manually setting core voltages CPU: 3950x GPU 980ti PSU: Corsair TX 750M MB: asus prime x570 pro Cooler: Corsair h100i PRO XT RAM: corsair vengance LPX 16GB 2x8 2440MHZ (for some reason even with AMDs XMP clone enabled it stays at 1168MHZ) ** UPDATE ** so someone told me to manually set the core voltage to 1.3 and the base multiplier to 40 (4ghz) this has worked and now i dont get any stupid throttling but it would be nice for a more permanent solution. Thanks to everyone that helped me and if you know of a more permanent fix i would greatly appreciate it if you could pop it in the replies.
  7. if you look the 600 pound one is actually a used card, but if it does not work amazon will facilitate refunds if the seller has committed fraud or miss-labelled the product as working so go for it, i would benchmark it to make sure that it actually has 2080TI performance once you get it just to make sure its not a BIOS flashed cheaper card. EDIT: though as Andreas said it could be a scam, i have been scammed on amazon before when i bought a 3900x but at least i now know they will actually help you if you do get scammed
  8. @Adahop yes, pls create a float-plane channel, i will sub to you there if you do
  9. thi So Neebs Gaming and their gangs older smaller YouTube channel (hank and jeds) -displayed on the left as lodger wallet- have been hacked and are now displaying 24/7 looped live streams pretending to be giving out free bitcoin at links in description, this video <REMOVED> has been played on a loop for over an hour and they have restarted the stream several times so far to ping people with lots of notifications, nifty little crooks.
