  1. Hey everyone, So recently my GPU has started revving up to around 4500 rpm randomly, and also makes a slight grinding noise every now and then. At first it would do it every once in awhile, now it's fairly often while doing anything on my PC, or nothing for that matter. I've been monitoring the fan speed and GPU temp via Open Hardware Monitor and Nvidia System Monitor. They both report the GPU temp at a steady 45 idle and between 60-70 while gaming. This is the only issue I'm having with the card, Temps seem to be stable and I haven't encountered any video problems. Here is my build: CPU- Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz Mobo- ASrock b450 pro4 RAM- 16GB PSU- EVGA superNova G3 650W I also have 3 monitors hooked up. 2x LG 1920x1080 HD via VGA to DisplayPort cables 1x MSI Optix G24C via HDMI What I've tried: -Re-installing nvidia drivers. -Tried unhooking and re-installing entire gpu, this includes disconnecting it from the psu and mobo. -Controlling fan speed through MSI Afterburner. I haven't messed with fan profiles yet, just tried setting the fan to 1 speed manually and it still would act up I'm not sure what else to do, and I couldn't find much help online, so this is my last hope before I just decide to send it in. Also quick disclaimer I am new to PC's, so ELI5 please :P
  2. Awesome I just downloaded it and it's reading the same as HWmonitor. Thanks guys!!!
  3. Hey I'm not sure if this is the place to be asking this but it seems like it is so here we go. For starters here is my build. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (stock heatsink) RAM: 16gb Mobo: ASrock B450 pro4 GPU: Geforce 1070 TI running 2 1080 LG full HD monitors and 1 MSI G24C I built my first gaming PC a few months ago and have been having no issues what so ever, but recently a fan has been louder than usual especially when I play BFV. So I downloaded speccy and found out it was my CPU fan, and according to speccy my CPU is running at 111c while playing BFV and between 81-92c while idle. This seems far to high and I'm considering getting a better cooler. I understand AMD reads 20 degrees hotter or colder for safety purposes, so I checked the temps in the BIOS and I was reading 41c on the CPU. So my question is which one is right? and should I invest in a better cooler before gaming any more? I apologize in advance if I can't answer some questions, I'm still new to this and learning as I go. Thanks everyone!
  4. This is what I've tried in the past, I see the same thing you are seeing but do not have the power management tab.
  5. Hey everybody, Like the title says, I'm having some Ethernet issues. I was recently having a hard drive problem (when I shutdown the pc and booted back up, it would freeze on the boot screen) so I just decided to disconnect the drive for now, as that would resolve the issue. When I booted back up my Ethernet was disconnected, I tried restarting and that fixed the issue but I'd like to be able to shut my pc down and start it back up with out any problems. Same this happens when the computer is asleep. Some specs. Windows 10 Motherboard: ASrock b450 pro4 Adapter: Realtek PCIe GBE family controller Always connected via Ethernet, No wifi card. I've tried going into Device manager>network adapters and disabling any energy saving setting, but haven't been able to find any. Most videos or articles I've read/watched have said to go to the adapter in device manager and disable "Allow this computer to turn off this device" in the power management tab for the device but that tab does not appear for me. I've also tried updating drivers and have latest versions.
  6. Hey! So I did what you said, unhooked the drive, booted up just fine, hooked it back up, deleted the volume and restarted. after the restart a reformatted the drive so I could use it again. Like I said before, it boots fine when I restart, shutting down is the issue. So I shut it down and it still wouldn't boot with the drive installed. Did I do anything wrong?
  7. Thank you, that definitely makes sense, I'll try this soon as I get home. Thank you!!
  8. No it doesn't ask for anything just the regular boot screen, It doesn't let me enter bios or do anything as well while it's stuck, probably should have mentioned that. It did have windows on it before though.
  9. Hey everybody! So I recently just built my first gaming PC a few days ago. It fired right up and loaded windows 10 no problem, and has been working great with no issues, except one. Yesterday I decided to shut my PC down, since I wouldn't be using it for the night (Normally I'd put it into sleep mode, but that shuts my Ethernet connection off for some reason) The next morning I press the power button and it gets stuck on the BIOS screen. I waited somewhere around 5 - 10 minutes and nothing changed, so I hit the reset button and it booted up just fine. I tried shutting it down again a few hours later, just to see, and it did the same thing. Everything in the computer is new, except for a 2TB HDD I installed after having loaded windows on my SSD. I haven't tried unhooking the HDD to see if that helps yet but don't see why it would, as it is freshly reformatted. But then again, I'm no very tech savvy as I'm sure some of you are. Thanks in advance!
  10. Awesome I'll probably go with this for now then minus the cooler. My old hand-me-down PC sounded like world war 3 so I'm sure anything will be better. Thank's again man.
  11. For fuggin real? thats $10 more than what I got my 650 for.. Oh well, that'd be a bit overkiller anyway haha.
  12. Wonderful, then I think I'll stick with the stock cooler. This case had me a little worried because it seems a bit small but the reviews say it's fantastic in regards to airflow.
  13. Wow that's pretty good. Couple questions. I was told the AMD coolers work great so long as you are not planning on overclocking (Which I am not, for now) What is the benefit to choosing a regular SSD as apposed to the NVMe SSD? It's my understand the NVMe goes significantly faster. Also, Thank you for taking the time kind sir.
