  1. from watercooling she used one of the alphacool waterblocks
  2. Hello all. So my friend has been having issues with her 2080FE card. she switch back to the stock cooler but when she boots up the PC she idles at 51C. and when she plays a game like house flipper it goes up to 84C and the fans go up to 94% We are unsure if it is the thermal pads causing the high temperatures or if the card itself is to far gone. is anyone able to help? my two questions are 1. thermal pad locations and thicknesses 2. why is it getting so hot on such basic tasks? we have tried setting a fan curve but that did not help at all. trying to avoid a bios flash.
  3. planning to buy a Ryzen 3000 series CPU so would like to future proof myself
  4. Hello, I am currently changing my PSU however I would like to get a corsair one that allows me to plug an 8 pin and 4 pin cpu connector. I also have a rtx 2070 which requires two PCIE 8 pin connectors also. been stuck on this for a while but then i remember Linus had forums.
  5. I'm planning to do VR and game in 4k. So want to keep temps low. Another thing is so I can vertical Mount the gpu without affecting performance by thermal throttling. Yes I have thought this through You think the same as me I have spoken with aorus and they said they won't make one unless there's a fair amount of demand. Will other companies like ek make a block for it?
  6. Hello! I have done a few posts now so let's get into something more interesting I have been speaking with Aorus to see if they will bring out water blocks for RTX 2070 and RTX 2070 Xtreme. unfortunately, the answer I was given was that. If there was enough demand they would produce the blocks. Below are the cards I am referencing. 2070 xtreme: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gigabyte-aorus-geforce-rtx-2070-xtreme-8192mb-gddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-1aa-gi.html 2070 standard: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gigabyte-aorus-geforce-rtx-2070-8192mb-gddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-1ab-gi.html If there is enough demand on this post I can then pass this onto the R&D team through a direct contact to see if it is possible to get water cooling blocks for the 2070 series. You may be thinking why water cool the 2070 cards. Well in my opinion 2070 is equivalent to a 1080 and 1080 gets water blocks and decent cooling so why should the 2070 suffer from air cooling. Modders can then make the 2070 cards look awesome in their liquid cooling builds instead of forking out 1500 for a 2080 xtreme liquid cooling block. What are your thoughts? can we get enough demand?
  7. It's all for 3mm or 2mm can't find one for 6mm
  8. Hello. I currently have my psu pcie cable sleeved in this https://www.hilltop-products.co.uk/pvc-tubing-6mm.html#.W9r11mmnw0M However I am looking for some sort of cable comb product to help spread the wires out. I know I should have gone with smaller sleeving as I currently have 2 wires in each tube. Any suggestions?
  9. Hello! I am looking for a pinout chart for a ThermalTake Toughpower Grand 750W RGB 80+ Gold *RGB Sync Edition* How ever can't find one. I did a stupid mistake and didn't make one when I was sleeving now I don't know which cable goes where. Also does it matter how the pcie cables is wired up?
  10. Thank you I will check it out!
  11. Thanks! just need to get custom braids and heatshrinks right and a tool to get the clips out correct?
  12. I only want to make the cables and braiding. I believe you don't need a soldering kit, I just need to know where to get all the equipment from, such as 16 gauge wire, braiding kits and the ATX male and female pins and connectors. I am doing a high end build so don't want to spray wires as it would look tacky
  13. Hello! I am looking to custom sleeve all of my cables on my TT 750 fully modular RGB sync gold PSU. Been looking everywhere but keep getting different answers. there are three questions, 1) What equipment do I need such as atx pins gauge wire etc. 2) Where do i get the equipment from. 3) the process of making the wires. I am going for a orange and black themed build. I know you can buy cable extensions and what not but I would like the whole cable to be out of these colours so I can do custom lengths. oh I would also need to know the different sizes of braiding to get, such as 8mm thick but then 25m long etc Regards
  14. I went with the 750 watt psu in the end better safe then sorry! But my next question. Am I bottlenecking my system? Ryzen 7 2700x with a rx 580 8gb
