  1. First of all, thank you so much for doing all that research, thats simply amazing! Unfortunately, they all are out of stock and display a delivery date of +10 days (and all the other stores I came across), I think they must have run out and considering the current climate the deliverer only gets them to order at the moment or something. I will have to act fast considering the AMD discount is going to end this month. I think ill give them a call tomorrow to have a check whether they think it will be more like 14-dayish or over a month to make my decision on that. Fingers crossed But really, can't thank you enough for going through all that effort! Its insane, I appreciate you so so much!
  2. I was planning on buying my computer parts tomorrow when suddenly the Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital seems to have disappeared entirely? When I checked yesterday it was still for sale everywhere now suddenly there are no listings anymore? Does anyone know whats up with that? I live in the Netherlands.
  3. Does anyone know if this note holds up or if everything I need comes with the cooler? "The Noctua NH-D15S 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard." Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks man! I think looking at what you guys are saying, I will just build now. I might pick it up again soon, and the performance boost is so big. Especially at this price its hard to beat I guess. Adding to that 8gb of ram is gonna be too little any day now, and my current motherboard can't handle more (yeah its that old :p). Thanks for your answers!
  5. Yeah its not just gaming, I do a lot of photoshop, after effects and cinema4d, but those are currently on a low burner so that's why I wouldnt need the juice now and can afford to wait
  6. Hi all! I have been thinking about building a new pc looking at the current discounts on the 3900x. I was wondering if you guys would suggest to wait for the new releases in October or if it would be hard to beat this price. My pc can currently run my games I want to play, the current benefit would be that it would be able to play them better and that I'd be able to get a VR headset a few months earlier. Im still going to upgrade sometime, because the cpu is very old (i7 2600) and everything except for the psu and gpu is over 8 years old (I often plan my build so that they will last). What do you think I should do?
  7. Thanks! You've been really helpful to me! I know a decent bit about computers, but I don't always have time to keep up the pace with all the specifics for every component. Really appreciate you!
  8. One more question (sorry im just trying to make the right choice haha) why would I take the x570-P as he suggested over the TUF Gaming x570-Plus. Because in the graph the x570-plus is in blue? Or is that a price choice he made?
  9. Alright! Sounds about right. Thank you so much for all your aid! Ill tweak the system like you suggested and I should be ready to go. Really appreciate you! Ill be able to have a better build because of you! Thanks!
  10. Alright thanks! dont care for rgb anyways haha. Thank you so much for all your explanations! I appreciate it a lot!
  11. Thanks! One additional question (sorry ) I forgot to ask about the ram, are the ripjaws just cheaper (i believe they are a bit)? Or are there any other benefits?
  12. Hey! First of all thankyou! Second, Im going to ask a few questions to better understand your choices: Why should I pick this one over the other? My knowledge on coolers isn't great, so I'm not doubting your choice just curious? Here its the same question, why would I pick this one over the other? Does it have better reviews or features?
  13. Added the current build to the posts! Current build: Intel i7 2600 MSI GTX 1080 GAMING OC X 8gb 8gb ddr3 Medion standard motherboard Cooler Master G750M
  14. 1. Budget & Location Around 1000-1300 Euros (Netherlands) 2. Aim Main use would be gaming, with my chrome browser open on a second screen. Will also be using it for streaming and cinema 4d, photoshop, after effects. Thinking of getting a vr headset... 3. Monitors 2 monitors at 1080p 4. Peripherals I already have those and will be using: - Corsair k55 - Logitech G703 Hero 5. Why are you upgrading? Cant upgrade my current system any further as the motherboard is very dated and has a max capacity of 8gb ram. --> Currently running a prebuild Medion system with an i7 2600, only replaced the gpu when the psu shorted and killed the original one in the build Current build: Intel i7 2600 MSI GTX 1080 GAMING OC X 8gb 8gb ddr3 Medion standard motherboard Cooler Master G750M The build I have in mind: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x Reuse my MSI GTX 1080 GAMING OC X 8gb Gigabyte Aorus x570 Elite MOBO Phantex Eclipse P400A (because of its airflow) Noctua NH-U12A Reuse Cooler Master G750M (Have only had it for a few years) G.Skill Trident Z F4-3600C17D 32GB (2 sticks, for possible expansion, thus 2x 16gb for a total of 32gb) Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB (Adding to the other ssd's and Hdd I still have) Would you make any changes / Have any recommendations on something I should do differently? Please let me know.
  15. Parsec has worked flawlessly yes. Stick with that!
  16. Yeah thats what I was afraid of... Guess Ill have to take it back then
  17. I picked up a Rift S today, but apparently my USB 3.0 is not supported, so im thinking of buying a PCI-e card for the slot displayed in the image. My only worry is that this might impact the cooling of the gpu or that the heat of the gpu might damage the pcie card, considering how close the slot is to the fans of the gpu. Do you guys think this would be an issue? If so, im still able to return the rift and buy it again when i get a new pc.
  18. Going from your reply, I think i might just pick one up now. Im aiming for the Rift S, because I've heard that its a pretty large difference between the quest and the rift s. And from what you're saying I don't expect something else to one-up it any time soon (In my price range). I just ran the VR-Ready test by steam and my pc should be "very ready" according to them, so I guess you're right and it should be fine. Thanks for your input!
  19. I am unsure as on what to do. I'm super stoked to start in VR, but as we all know those things aren't cheap. If I were to buy the Rift S now I would be able to use it for approximately 2 months, after which I'd have to leave for about half a year in which I wont be able to use it. Are there any expected new VR-sets planned to be released in 2020 that would make me want to consider holding off the purchase until after I get back? (I havent seen any from the "main" brands, but I could have missed something) Whats your general opinion on what I should do? Im just too hyped and need to have some fresh eyes on the situation before I buy and regret. Current PC specs - i7-2600 (3.4Ghz Quad-core 8Threads) - MSI GTX 1080 8GB Gaming OC X (Will most likely upgrade pc with new CPU, MOBO etc when I get back, but keep the GPU)
  20. Alright cool. So I can just assume it to work? Because the comments on the cable are really mixed. Some say it works and some say it doesnt.
  21. Hi There, I know this has been mentioned before on the forum and as well in one of their videos, but everyone and everything is saying something different and I just need to sort this out. I am looking at buying a 15m HDMI cable (15.3 to be exact). This would fit around the room from the pc on one side to the projector on the other. A shorter cable most likely wont fit. I was doing some research but the opinions are way too different. Some people say 10 is the max, others say 12,5, then again Linus mentioned in their video "Up to 50 feet" which correlates to 15.24 meters. Would 15.24 then work, or be just too long? And how does that relate to the 15.3m cable. FYI: I am looking at the "AmazonBasics High Speed HDMI-kabel" Thanks in advance!
