Show off your old and retro computer parts

I have a desk full of old PC parts. Would love to make a retro build but I honestly do not know where to start lol. -

powerstates and other things Zen 2 on X-370
Teun_VV posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
A Friend of mine is sceptical about Zen 2, not because VRM limits but because of Power states, "Chipset instructions" and "commands". If, in my case ASUS, promises compatibility, I assume everything will just work right? Even all those things he mentioned? I don't even know what those things mean, but if anyone can fill me in on if it works, that'd be great :D. Thanks in advance -

Yeah, switching coolers, sorry if that was unclear. -
Can only the cooler hold a CPU in place?

I mean, that, if I use my new cooler’s backplate, I’m unable to install the retention mechanism. -
Since the previous backplate, that I’m now switching out, held the retention mechanism in place, is it possible to have just the cooler hold the CPU in place? Thanks in advance. Teun

Hey, I was looking and can’t find anywhere what the clearance is. I have found that the clearance of the Dark Rock Pro 4 is 40,5mm. Is it the same for the non pro version? - Teun
