  1. I fixed things. Thx for info. I couldn't make a solid contact between the positive from the battery and the old dead battery PCB. In the end I could only use better and more tape so it is working now. I had to cut the plastic crazily from inside in order to be able to insert the battery that was painful, but amuzing :p.
  2. Alright so I had a problem with my JPL Flip 4 portable speakers (dead battery) so I thought I could replace it, but unfortunately I was unable to get another battery anywhere in my location. I had an old and almost unused Samsung Galaxy S5 battery pack from samsung (an original battery with a charging package). I took out the Samsung S5 battery and then attached it's positive and negative output to the speakers dead battery PCB that can be hooked to the speaker board. What I noticed is that things are not quite right. The battery charge fast to 80% then take very very long time to fill to 100% and then after I turn on the speakers I see no indications of the battery state... and the speakers don't work properly. I think maybe the 2 batteries PCB in a row is making the speakers mad, but technically I don't know anything so I would like to know what could be possibly happening and am I killing the battery or damaging anything with this. How and why?
  3. Fk these countries. that's what we get when we cheap on things
  4. I tried to get rid of that spy thing, but I only have 8 possible firewall rules to block IPs or ports or both whatever. Anyway, the problem is that the destination is on port 443 which is used for pretty much everything so I can't make a port based blocking and whenever I block an IP the phone tracking apps seems to use another one so no luck in doing that. I was able to detect that alibaba thing in Singapore is what collects these data on TCP protocol, but anyway I will have to uninstall device apps to stop this
  5. And then filter out that destination. Thank you for the tip I will try and report if I could do that in the first place
  6. Nope, but I read it now. That could solve part of the issue, but the phone being able to dodge my QOS settings is itself the major issue here because if it does not do that then no matter how much that shit keep uploading there would be no problem
  7. The issue is very annoying. The device is sending analystics data to Xiaomi 24/7 using all my upload bandwidth without me being able to prevent it in anyway. However it looks like only upload rules are being bypassed by the phone not the download rules. All other devices in my home are not doing the same thing. The problem is that.... it is my wife phone and she will kick my ass if I stoped it from reaching the Internet. Life learnt me that to NEVER miss with your god or your wife. Even in that damn device settings there is no way to limit that system app access to the Internet. I need a solution for this I can't play games or stream throughout the day and that is a big problem. I am not gonna buy her another phone. That is out of my budget currently Edit: even selfish net does not recognize the phone from the network
  8. Sry, I was just trying to get more info using mean way of talk . it is effective usually
  9. I like how are you dedicated to convince me. Thank you. I think I have better idea now so the best way to get a good audio positioning is just to use a good headphone not necessarily gaming related + a good DAC/amp in stereo mode which would outperform all the crap I tried no matter the realtek chip ALC1220 codecs or the 13 years old one, right? do you have any recommendations about a headphone + DAC/Amp in your mind?
  10. You are talking like the sound depth is going to tell where it comes from. sounds hilarious.
  11. I found this btw. It confirms everything I experienced. It is all about having a good headset and proper software unlike above claims about hardware stuff (headset is not the one that convert the stereo to surround with it's built in chip as claimed above) and it says that best results was with Dolby Atmos just like I noticed, but as I experienced it was barely any better than stereo sound and does not deserve the extra 15$ for that, but Actually I may consider that and pay for it.
  12. I have been messing up with audio all the day trying different sound systems. Windows sonic 7.1 virtual thing have always made sound annoyingly crisp to my ears and also messed up with low frequencies. However the sound issue in Apex Legends is all about bugs in the game itself. Dev messed up a lot over time. What I found after trying every shit today from sound cards to different headsets to weird 7.1 virtual stuff from razer , dolby... Whatever. Nothing actually made any difference!. I can say that only dolby atmos fairly different audio quality than stereo. Thank you and the other guy very much. I guess I got all information I need for my use case. All these circles and time wasted just to understand that nothing better than stereo headphone and it is the game who is responsible for the shit that is going on. I also found my headset pretty good and better compared to other higher end ones from other companies. I can say I didn't regret having it for over 3 years.
  13. I can't agree with you here because I experienced actual positioning in the past using virtual surround rather than stereo. However kike I said I have no experience in audio stuff so if you are claiming that is a marketing stuff then pls explain how and why so I can take the info from you
  14. from what I understand is that the sound positioning is all about the headset and the inboard sound codecs have nothing to do with that even if it was ALC1220 supreme FX which is modified by ASUS in a way I am not aware about . Well, it is not very good headset, but not bad either (Hyper X Cloud Stinger). If that is true then how different surround audio softwares makes different sound like Dolby Atmos vs Razer surround sound vs Windows Sonic for headset. Also in Realtek Audio console you can either config the headset (or speakers because it see everything as speakers) as 7.1 and test that in Windows annnd it seems to work when testing all channels except the subwoofer Or you can set headset as stereo and use virtual surround system. Either way I can't tell the difference by much between rear left and side channels I should say. What is annoying is that when I can't tell the difference if someone was up or down in intensive games like Apex Legends. I used to be able to tell in the past with Windows Sonic 7.1 virtual surround using the same headset, but later after I switched the motherboard to Gigabyte one I was unable to tell. I am not sure if it is the game that changed, the motherboard or the Windows itself. What I can say is that I tried the game with B450M-A ASUS board (after I was on Gigabyte) and that B450 board uses the same of everything that H310M-D have in audio and the game seemed to be better as I could tell the difference better so I started to blame the motherboard
  15. It is hyper x cloud stinger And np I am not going against myself, but I don't usually use proper words for explaining. I do mean by precision is sound positioning
  16. When it comes to audio, I have no idea which manufacturer makes best of it for gaming. I don't care about immersive clarity, higher bit rates or Hz. What I do care about is how precision the real and virtual surround channel seperating in competitive games. I learnt that the software is what is going to determine this accuracy, but I myself didn't experience that as accurate information because at least on 2 different motherboards on the same OS (same drivers) with only variable being the motherboard (ASUS H310M-D vs Gigabyte H310M S2H 2.0) I found ASUS much better when it comes to differentiating between the left/right and rear left/right on "7.1 virtual surround" stereo headset. From the first look at both motherboards I thought that Gigabyte should offer better audio because it has 4 big solid capacitors while ASUS one has 2 small + 2 big, but then looking at tech specs of ASUS Prime motherboard I found these extra features that are not mentioned in Gigabyte one tech specs and these are: LED-Illuminated design Audio shielding Dedicated audio PCB layers However I am not sure if these are already in Gigabyte one even if they are not mentioned. If somebody could clear things out for me that would be very appreciated.
  17. Yes, but following Intel's official guidence every Intel CPU push to PL2 for a short period of time then get back to PL1 even mobile variants push 35W for 28 seconds then go back to 15W. I don't think that boosting behaviour would be in favour of a laptop that is made to be power saving saving and how could that boost for 28 seconds be beneficial in anyway. What I wanted to say that there should be a reason that CPU have to go in PL2 before it settle back to PL1 otherwise Intel wouldn't do that
  18. Intel's I9-11900K boost to PL2 250W for a short period of time and goes max clocks all cores when it is underload then drop down to PL1 125W or less untill it goes idle again. The question is why PL2 is even there? What does it do to make things better as long as it is only for a short period of time. Why not boosting to PL1 only from the begining. Does it have something to do with tweaking clocks as needed for the kind of workload? so that the CPU uses what the application need from CPU power or it is there just like that?
  19. What we are sure about is that Alder lake simply will come with more cores without effecting the single core performance of other cores. regardless how fast they are, but more cores means more performance as long as they don't effect other cores, but how much more performance depends on the kind of the workload that the application ask for. For gamers more cores could mean more performance for very few games considering that more cores won't drop other cores performance with Big.Little design and could promise to be more future proof because newer games are being optimized to make use of more and more cores What we are not sure about is whether Alder lake is going to be actually better than Rocket lake for gamers. Based on recent news Alder lake golden cove core performance is much much less than Intel expected it to be so it may not even be any better than Rocket lake and I don't really see that Alder lake is going to be any good to wait for or to consider. Even DDR5 won't be better than today's fast DDR4 modules at release time so it will take more time to get considerably more performance with DDR5. For Laptops Alder lake would definitely be an improvement in everything over older generations, but for Desktop I doubt that Alder lake would be any better.
  20. did you manage to fix this issue yet? if not then I guess this issue is from your country route which something you can't do about. try playing games that have local servers in your country and see if this fix the problem and if it did not then this issue is from your country infrastructure (problems in lines that connect you to the Internet no matter what is your ISP.
  21. I think that made things clear. I was not aware of USB4 requirement, thx for info
  22. Ok so I have been trying to pass that strange power limit without success from a day and I am totally lost The dGPU is meant to run at least at 15 W or 25 W depending on notebook manufacturer choices. at 6 watts performance is terrible consuming as much as iGPU power while delivering worse performance. I mean the MX 350 is a capable GPU. I tried maximum power settings on Nvidia control panel. Tried to edit power limits which stayed greyed out with MSI afterburner with unlocked settings through cfg files. Tried on AC power / Battery power and got the same results. Tried disabling power saving features in intel Xe graphic control panel. Tried to overvolt the GPU with afterburner, but any +offset added voltage will get back to 0 once I hit apply button. The only thing I could do is to increase core and memory clock untill instability, but anyway never managed not to hit pwr limit (power package limit) I should of course mention that thermals are very low (I am hitting package power limits not thermal limits). I also should mention that the limit is being hit on games not only benchmark. I never reached higher than 6 W... Any ideas? because I am lost here I feel it is more like something to do with either my laptop bios or vbios, not something I can do about
  23. I think it is all about marketing greed. Thunderbolt have always been for "some" high end laptops only. Just because Intel give us a great built in feature does not mean manufacturers will make it available for us.
