    For architecture work and rendering 3D models, you need a laptop with at least Intel Core i5 processor, minimum 8GB RAM, and preferentially SSD storage. You can refer https://theconsumerbasket.com/best-laptop-for-architecture/  to get some good suggestions. 
    Nvidia GTX 1060 is also good for the purpose, it can handle the tasks easily

    Well, most newly power supplies have SATA power connectors, so you need a SATA cable which works well for HDD.
