    Slow Wi-Fi AP speed (5GHz)

Welp... That explains everything. So for the price of one Gigabit Lan/Wan Router I can try the AVM FRITZ! WLAN Repeater 1750E.

    Slow Wi-Fi AP speed (5GHz)

Hey, I currently have a problem with my Access Point (TP-Link Archer C50). I can't reach a high network speed (5Ghz) via the AP but with my main router (FRITZ!Box Cable 6490) I can. The AP is directly connected to the main router. I tried to change the Channel and the Channel Width but with no improvement. Below you can find some information about both devices. If you need more information let me know. I will get a new Pixel 3 on Tuesday. We will see if it has the same issue.

Google Pixel 3 / XL faulty display

I'm not the only one and people have bought 7 devices and all of them had this issue!
  7. Hey boys and girls, today I received my Google Pixel 3 and I discovered that the upper half of the display is ping and the lower half of it is yellow. The weird thing is that I watched and read many review about the Google Pixel 3 / XL and no one is talking about this issue. In fact I read lines like: "There are no such problems with the display like with the Google Pixel 2 / XL." So I searched for this issue and I found a very good Reddit post: And I also found a video about this issue: And this is what it looks like (also linked in the Reddit post). In my case I have the issue which is shown in the middle. Apparently people bought up to seven phones to get one without any display issues. Do you have the same issue?
  8. I guess I don't need to say more.

RTX 2080 Ti Failing Too Early

Hey, apparently the RTX 2080 Ti Founder's Edition is broken and many users are reporting that they experiencing "artifacts, crashes, or outright failure." "Less than two months after release, these cards are dying at a pace that appears to be higher than the standard failure rate for consumer electronics." "So far, there have been no reports of problems with any RTX 2080 cards of any type and no reports of issues with any of the custom variants of the RTX 2080 Ti." "these problems don’t appear to be heat related." https://www.shacknews.com/article/108212/something-may-be-wrong-with-nvidia-founders-edition-rtx-2080-ti-graphics-cards https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/nvidia-rtx-2080-ti-graphics-cards-dying/

Battery drain and CPU issues [MI A2]

I was a quite busy but now I have time to update the Thread. The main problem is the Goodix Fingerprint-Sensor. When the Fingerprint sensor is disabled you have most of the time no problems but if you directly unlock your phone from deep sleep with the Fingerprint sensor all cores are going to get stuck at the maximum frequency. Sometimes it will take multiple uses to get the bug triggered. Another trigger is if you already unlocked your phone and you swipe multiple times over the fingerprint sensor you can get the bug too. But this is more rare and not as common as the unlocking. The only "workaround" is to restart the phone and to disable the fingerprint sensor. Users in the XDA Forums are reporting if they flash another ROM or change the min frequency of the CPU the bug will no longer occur. More users with Xiaomi devices and the Goodix FP Sensor getting the bug (Redmi Note 5, Mi 6x). The Xiaomi Dev-Team talked with an Beta-Tester and they told him that they don't trust apps like CPU-Z/AIDA64. Recently the phone got the new October update and the bug is still not fixed. The threads on the Xiaomi Forum are now marked as "Under Discussion" and still no official statement from Xiaomi! The phone has many bugs such as low storage speed, proximity sensor failure, connectivity issues via SIM cards etc. In the current state you shouldn't buy the phone. If you already have one you should return it. The support is awful and you don't get any updates from Xiaomi or the Dev-Team! Here are some links to XDA and Xiaomi Threads and official news from Third-Party sites: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=3625494&extra=page%3D1%26orderby%3Drecommend_add http://en.miui.com/thread-3909615-1-2.html http://en.miui.com/thread-3743120-1-4.html https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/help/frequency-sd660-stuck-maximum-t3832366 https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/help/huge-battery-drain-t3834735 https://www.androidauthority.com/xiaomi-mi-a2-battery-life-909161/ https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-a2-massive-battery-drain-fingerprint-sensor-bug/ https://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/xiaomi-mi-a1-explode-mi-a2-fingerprint-sensor-bug-impacting-battery-life-1926243 https://www.firstpost.com/tech/news-analysis/xiaomi-a2-users-complain-about-being-hit-by-a-bug-causing-massive-battery-drain-5330711.html If you search for 'Xiaomi Mi A2 bug' you will find more news pages about this problem.

    Windows 10 October Update Issues

I used the ISO which you could download with the Media Creation Tool and a cap file. I updated my PC and everything was fine. All my files are still there. That's because Windows forces to use the basic windows display driver. Always. It's totally stupid but if you don't disable the auto download of apps and custom icons this will always happen in new windows versions. This also includes drivers which are weirdly listed as "apps". You also can change the current Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching Never install driver software automatically: 0 Always install driver software automatically: 1

Battery drain and CPU issues [MI A2]

I will update this thread later that day to explain when and maybe why the Snapdragon 660 gets stuck at max frequency.

Battery drain and CPU issues [MI A2]

Yes I didn't updated the thread here in a long while. I discuss this topic on the XDA and Xiaomi Forum. The Dev-Team don't mark it as a bug and don't trust apps like CPU-Z/AIDA64. And even more bugs are discovered daily and no official answer from xiaomi at all.
