  1. 5GHz sounds tasty, what cooler do you recomend? I also have no clue at all how to overclock, but 20% boost sounds like its worth it
  2. Thanks for your help, ill go with the 860 evo. Have to clean the insides anywyay, might as well put an ssd in
  3. I live in Holland, here is everything more expensive, that wd blue 1tb ssd is €150 and the 860 evo from samsung is €169, does it matter at all which brand it is?
  4. So an ssd with ~500 read and write is the best option for gaming? Im guessing that the GPU and CPU gotta keep up with the loading of textures and stuff?
  5. Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2 Are the m.2 slots i have compatable with that ssd?
  6. This exactly. I think SSD is the best option, but how big should it be? 500gb? 1tb? M.2?
  7. I got no specific reason, maybe if I play a triple-A title that will not hit a lot of frames at 1440P. More SSD space sound very good, might do that.
  8. Hi! I was recently thinking, if I would upgrade my pc, what would I upgrade? I got no idea. I need your help with that. This is my current setup: CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K Processor - 12MB Cache - 3.7 GHz - 6 Cores Motherboard: MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX - 16GB Kit - 2x 8GB - 3000 MHz - CL15 - 1.35v GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X - 8GB Case: NZXT H700i White/Black Windows RGB SSD: Samsung 860 EVO SSD - 500 GB - 2.5" + HDD: Seagate Barracuda - 2TB - 7200 rpm - 64MB - 3.5" PSU: Corsair RM650X - 650 Watt - Modular - 80 Plus Gold Acer VG270 + XB271HUAB CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterAir MA610P I got no clue on what I should upgrade if I were to upgrade. I probably won't upgrade in the next few months because it's still relatively new and I'm not really playing heavy games atm. Anyway, what are your thoughts?
  9. I have found something on facebook, 1080 ti STRIX GAMING ''new in box'' for €540, which is the exact same price as a 1080. It's (65 miles) away. Before I'd consider buying this I would visit the person and benchmark it. Maybe its damaged, who knows... When making the list of this build I never even considered buying used parts, it might end up saving me lots of money. Thanks for the advice!!
  10. That sounds great, do you happen to know any websites in Europe (maybe Holland specificly) that are reliable for buying used parts?
  11. a BeQuiet DarkRock Pro4 is 80-90 euro and a Noctua NH-D15 is 90. changing to a 1080ti will add 280 euro. Does that make up in performance??
  12. I have indeed looked into this, the ryzen 2700x is a lot cheaper and with that, I could buy the 1080ti, but I got a few questions. does changing to AMD Ryzen change anything in game settings, windows or anything else like an AMD GPU does for Feesync?
  13. TLDR: Could use some advice on this ≈€3000 Build (repost because i got 3 comments) So I've been on this build for a long time now and its been 4 weeks since I made this list, is there anything to improve? A lot has changed, the I7 got 150 euro's more expensive and maybe some new items got released but I am not up to date. Can anyone help improve my list? it is being built by a local hardware store. Case: NZXT H700i White/Black Windows € 199,00 CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K Processor - 12MB Cache - 3.7 GHz - 6 Cores - Coffee Lake € 510,00 CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterAir MA610P € 69,95 Motherboard: MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon € 166,90 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX - 16GB Kit - 2x 8GB - 3000 MHz - CL15 - 1.35v € 194,95 SSD: Samsung 860 EVO SSD - 500 GB - 2.5" € 117,95 HDD: Seagate Barracuda - 2TB - 7200 rpm - 64MB - 3.5" - Serial-ATA/600 € 69,95 GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X - 8GB € 599,00 PSU: Corsair RM650X - 650 Watt - Modular - 80 Plus Gold € 109,95 Assembly (by the local hardware store) € 39,95 OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit pre-install € 89,00 Installation Windows € 29,00 *prices are from 3 weeks ago, only changed CPU price***I'm in Holland*** This build comes down to around 2000 euros, is there anything to improve with this build? Better Items? The budget can take many changes For those interested in the monitors I'm getting with it: ACER Predator XB271HUBMIPRZ €689,00 and a ACER Nitro VG270BMIIX €179,10
  14. I am not building the pc myself because of the risk, I have never done it before and I feel much more comfortable with someone else putting it all together, for 70 euro.
