  1. I have an Asus 1440p 144hz VG27AQ Monitor but I was wondering why this was happening when I was playing games. I left the video in the link below. I'm using the Displayport cable included with the monitor and I noticed that this was happening. Any help or information? Example: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GrK8I9EmUC5bsIUnw-gcOrbeqz9JilCf
  2. I have no way to do an offsite backup as of right now. But I'm making my own nas with a Ryzen 1700 and few hard drives. I'll have about 2 3Tb drives and 4 1TB drives. Then room to upgrade in the future. I plan to use FreeNAS since its well free. Does anyone have any recommendations for what's the best RAID solution and if I need to buy a raid card or if i can do it in software and if there is a better free (or cheap/no subscription) server/NAS OS?
  3. I was able to get it to post and install the drivers. However I can only see the screen when on DVI not hdmi. I havent got anytime to troubleshoot by myself. What you recommend I try to get the hdmi to work?
  4. How do I do that? Set the display to igpu as primary?
  5. I am using an AsRock z97M pro4 motherboard with an i7-4790k It was a fresh build with nothing installed on the ssd. Whenever I try to plug the gpu in it doesnt post. Neither displayports (motherboard or cpu) display anything. I don't even think they display a blank screen. Without the GTX 1070 it starts up perfectly fine but when. I try to install the 1070 I can't even get to the bios. I just updated the bios trying to fix it, there is a white light on near the PCIe 8pin power port, and the LEDs on the gpu go on but not the fans unless I turn of the system then the fans go on for a fraction of a second.
  6. Would just pick a compatible motherboard for the CPU. I thought I'd start at the CPU then build it from there
  7. This would be used partially for storage and media server (probably not plex but want 4k h265. No editing just watching) Haven't had a good time using Plex with h265 in the past. Any ideas would be amazing. Was hoping it would be used to save some money and have still have a good NAS.
  8. With a i7 4790K what are the key differences between GTX 980, GTX 980 Ti, and GTX 1060 6GB? Planned for gaming on Medium and High. Goal is to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) at 120fps, if that's not possible then 60fps
  9. I have a i7-4790k with 16gb and no graphics card. What graphics card would I need to get Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) to run at 120hz with Medium or High Settings. If you forget budget what do you need? If the budget is $150 what's the best GPU you could get?
  10. What would I need to get 120hz or is that not something I should even expect from this machine?
  11. My bad, I have a i5 2500 What would you recommend I do?
  12. My first ever build was with a Intel i5-2600 I want to turn it into something that can play 1080p 60hz or maybe even 120hz. It has no graphics card and only 4gb of ram. I already have an SSD ready for it. What upgrades do I need to make to get it to 1080p 60hz? What would I need for 120hz? Settings either on high or medium for each game. Most intense game will probably be Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  13. Acer XF270HU Cbmiiprzx 27” WQHD (2560 x 1440) TN Monitor with AMD FREESYNC Technology |144Hz Refresh Rate | 1ms | (Display Port 1.2 & 2 x HDMI Ports) vs LG 27GL83A-B 27 Inch Ultragear QHD IPS 1ms NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor Ignoring price which one would be the best? I know that the LG has a Faster setting which is preferred over the Fastest due to some Coronas. I am unsure what the response time is on the faster setting. I also am unsure if the Acer monitor has Coronas at it's advertised 1ms and I'll be playing that with less response time regardless. Without price being involved which monitor would you pick (keep in mind it will only be used for gaming)?
  14. I'm gonna get either a 1080p or 1440p at 144hz monitor. But I need a graphics card that can push 144 fps for the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare. What would be the cheapest graphic cards that could achieve that fps for each resolution?
