  1. its possible but if i ramp the fans up to 70% i can feel the air blasting out at the top and the side is pretty good as well.
  2. layout goes, cpu > top ek 360mm SE rad (exhaust) > side rad (same as top rad, intaking air) > front distro block which then goes to cpu and gpu. fans are ek vardar 120mm. not at max spd, if its idle itll be like 25% pump spd and fans are 50%, there are times i just leave pump at 50% and fans 50% if im gaming then pump will be 50-70% and fans 70%
  3. Copper or aluminum loop - copper (Ni plated) loop Case - Lian Li o11 Dynamic Rad placement - havent replaced it, but running 2x 360mm slims Pump/Pump Speed - pump would be a distro block from bitspower, front panel sedna for o11 dynamic Overclocked - yes, 5ghz all cores 1.245v
  4. oh yea sorry shouldve added that, cpu is running 5ghz all cores, 1.245v
  5. Hey, so ive completed my loop but my 9900k is still running really hot (at least to me, im aware its a hot chip) So on idle im getting 45 degrees C and say running games itll hit up to 70-75C (there have been cases where ive seen it hit 80C) 9900k and 2080ti is being cooled in the loop with 2x 360mm rads (top exhaust and front intake) Cpu temps are aitting around 45-55c idle and say topping at about 75c under gaming loads) using hwinfo for core temps. It summer in australia right now but my room isnt incredibly hot id say its about 25c in my room so id expect my cpu to be about 30c not 45-55. Is there something im missing? Ive reseated and repplied paste, cleaned my cpu block, still getting same temps
  6. Sure, will post them up after i get back from work.
  7. Hey guys, I need some help rebuilding my loop as its not at its best atm, my current pump res combo cant be mounted on to the side fans as the gpu is interfering with it. Specs: Board: Asus maximus xi extreme (eatx board) Gpu: Asus strix rog 2080ti oc (gpu block installed and vertical mount) Case: o11 dynamic Ok, so atm the loops is working but its not at its best, ive had to mount the side rad at the back side and remove the mid and lower fans to give me enough room to mount the pump res combo. Im trying to figure out how i can stick the fans back on and have enough room to fit it all in, so atm my current plan is to get a pump and res as seperate units and and install them in, will that work? Im pretty new to the watercooling side so i need some help from the people that have more knowledge of it
  8. Hey guys, i got a mate that has a 5.1 surround set up for his pc, it used to work on win7 but now that his has win10 it doesnt work anymore. Hes using the logitech z5500 and its hooked up via spidf. Hes gone through a whole bunch of google and youtube searches but not really working out.
  9. im in a similar thing for you, i went with 9900k, DAW usage requires a lot of "real time processing" vs amount of cores. thats the only reason i went with the 9900k, if the other cpus can hit 5ghz+ then sure by all means, ive OCd my 9900k to 5.1ghz @1.32v and im having my midi keyboard set with latency at 64samples with no problems or issues. Best idea for daws is to get higher clock spd vs as many cores as possible. i do orchestral/epic music and 9900k is holding down real well
  10. what would happen if you get say 2 sets of dual channel ram, would that run in a dual channel layout?
  11. im aware, as stated in my post, atm im running 32gb in dual channel, but i was wondering if quad will have any improvement or cause problems. my pc is used for gaming and for music production (epic/orchestral) and its pretty ram heavy at times along with cpu real time processing dependant. but if it really does nothing then ill just stick to my dual channel, just wanted to ask before doing anything
  12. Hey Guys, i would like to know what the differences are in a quad channel vs dual channel layout for ram, also how will it work with a comsumer grade board & cpu atm im using an 8086k with asus maximus x formula, the cpu says it uses dual channel so would quad channel suffer some sort of performance hit or compatibility issue?
  13. all good with the assumptions, its normal for people to assume. thanks for the suggestions, i will go through them and hopefully get this problem fixed. thanks for all that, if theres anything going on with it then ill let you know
