  1. Nah I mean the system tray, just like how you've got chrome on it
  2. Hey, Any Idea how to get google chrome back on the system tray? Thanks in advance
  3. Hey Guys/ Girls, I recently build a new rig and I have been experiencing some issues with my microphone. It seems to be cutting out when I play any games. I've tested it playing GTA5, Mafia III and CSGO, at a random period the microphone justs cuts off. This seems to only happen when I have a call on discord application, discord on web browser & skype on whilst playing a game. I've tried turning off all my VOIPs and just using in-game voice chat in GTA5, that worked fine except that my conversation was public and it was difficult to hear each other. When my mic disables I have to open my sound control panel, disable and re-enable my HyperX Cloud II and the mic works again. I have..... - Updated all my drivers - Set my HyperX Cloud II mic to default in the windows settings and on the VOIPs - Disabled all other audio inputs - Disabled "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" in the audio properties - In communications I've set it to do nothing when windows detects communication - Disabled USB selective suspend setting - Downloaded and install all my motherboard drivers - Use different USB ports - Tried headset on another computer - Tried it on the front USB ports and the back - Restart computer...... etc. My Specs Are: CPU: Intel i5 6600k Heatsink: Deepcool Gamer Storm Captain 240EX RAM: 2x4GB Crucial Ballistix GPU: ASUS Strix 1060 MOBO: ASUS Z170-AR HDD: WD Blue 7200rpm 1TB PSU: Corsair CX550M Case: Corsair 400c Mouse: Logitech G502 Keyboard: Logitech G710+ Headset: HyperX Cloud II Wireless Adapter: D-Link DWA-171 Any help would be appreciated
  4. Hey Guys/ Girls, I'm looking at buying a Intel i5-6600k and was wondering if it came with a master code for Intel's software starter pack. Addition to that has anyone recently purchased an eligible CPU and redeemed the software starter pack, I'm curious as to what it includes. Thanks Joseph
  5. Are the backplates the same for every GPU? don't PCBs vary between different GTX 1060? how would I go around finding a back plate for a backplate? what do I have to look out for?
  6. Does the AIO cooler 's manufacturer warranty damages to your component if it leaks and damages it?
  7. Hey Guys/ Girls, I'm currently planning out my new rig for this summer, and I'm set on having a white and gold theme. I intend to purchase a range of Vinyl wraps such as Gold Carbon Fibre, White Carbon Fibre, Glossy Gold & Satin White. For the most part everything is white but my GPU really kills it with being full black. I'm considering wrapping it, it looks difficult to wrap the shroud as it has many accents an grooves but for the most part, you'll only be able to see the top. I've considered painting it but op not to as I'd rather no void my warranty but I'm thinking about wrapping the backplate in either Satin White or Carbon Fibre white. There are tons of options on ebay for cheap and they are intended for wrapping cars so I was wondering if anyone had any experience in doing this, it seems to be fairly simple and I don't believe I'd need a heat gun and I should be able to do this without voiding my warranty. I however also have an issue with heat, I'm aware that the vinyl is usually heated to be applied on cars, but its usually only heated to about 40 degrees celsius, does anyone have any idea if its is relatively safe to apply on the backplate of a GPU? I'd imagine it should be relatively safe as the backplate shouldn't be that hot but I just wanted to get your opinion. Any contribution would be appreciated Specs: Case: Corsair 400c White CPU: Intel i5 6600k GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 1060 Motherboard: ASUS Z170-AR Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT White 8GB PSU: ??? HDD: ??? PS. I have also considered the ASUS Dual 1060 which is in all white, but it has a lower clock speed, no backplate and cost pretty much the same as a Strix 1060 where I'm from
  8. Woah, didn't realize its been done, I'll check it out thanks
  9. We aren't allowed to use graphic calculators for our examinations Just a fun project, prob just for home use
  10. Hey Guys/ Girls, I'm currently having my finals and I have to do many calculations as part of my CIE exams. One thing I have noticed is that I make alot of errors in typing my calculations into my Casio FX-82MS which is due to my being time pressured and the keys on the calculator being relatively unresponsive. I had this idea awhile back and figured I'd do it as a summer project, I'd like to buy some Cherry MX keys off ebay, a cheap calculator and numpad. Break it apart and create a mechanical key calculator, maybe with LED lights just for the fun of it, I have a pile of unused powerbanks which I could also open up or just power the calculator with a usb cable. Just wanted to see if anyone in the LTT community had any ideas to contribute or any tips. Pls No Roast
  11. Hey Guys/ Girls, I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and was stuck with a few options which I'd like to get your opinion on. Ignore factory overclock cards etc, would it be more beneficial to get 2x RX 480s or a GTX 1060/ 1070. Thanks In Advance Joseph
  12. Yes, I've installed my whole system from scratch. And I don't have any other users, Office 2016 is up to date and so is Windows 7 and there are no sold settings saved
  13. I've reinstalled several times & I've tried using the repair tool which seems to just delete Office
  14. Hey Guys/ Girls, This forum has been pretty useful in the past and to be honest I don't know why it took me so long to ask for help here. I have my finals in less than 2 weeks and I'm required to use word, access and excel, I'm provided 5 copies by my school of Microsoft Office. I previously had Office 2013 installed but about 2 weeks ago I did a clean sweep of my computer as it was lagging and just being slow in general. I went to install Office to realize that I've been upgraded to Office 2016, after installing it I've been having many issues, every time I attempt to open any Office software, it comes up with "Microsoft Excel/ Word/ Access has stopped working". After hours of looking around, I recall having a similar problem awhile back so I decided to run it as an administrator, it works fine. The only problem now is when I try to open saved excel files, it comes up with "There is a problem sending the command to the program" and it doesn't load the file. After hours of searching, I found out that if I just opened Excel > File > Open, I am able to open the file of my choice but it's rather inconvenient. If anyone has any solutions for me, it would be greatly appreciated, I have linked some screenshots of the "pop-ups". Microsoft suggests that it could be a display problem. My graphics drivers are up to date, the only thing is that I had recently purchased a new monitor the BenQ GW2270, but I had used it with Office 2013 and it had worked fine. Stopped Working: http://prntscr.com/co4khu Problem Sending Command: http://prntscr.com/co4lko Thanks In Advance Joseph
