  1. Ok, I just checked. I pay for 30Mb/s, I am currently able to download at about 3.61Mb/s. That doesn't sound right.
  2. My internet connection is 25 Mb/s down. For some reason, I can only download at a maximum of 3 Mb/s. The only exceptions to this that I have found are my Xbox One and Windows Store, which can download at the full speed that I pay for. Any idea what wrong and how I can fix it? Edit: Download speeds can sometime go just above 3 Mb/s, but that's the average download speed. The issue is present in everything that tries to download files.
  3. What is the best was you share a single mouse and keyboard between computers with software. I know someone who needs to share a single mouse and keyboard between two machines because of space issues. They currently have a KVM switch to handle it, but have issues with remembering that then need to press the button to switch machines. (also, the switch may have broken, they say it only works on one machine) For their use case, a software solution that they don't have to touch would be best.
  4. If I were to go for this processor, how long would it last before it got too slow and I have to upgrade again? Because I have noticed the the performance of my current processor has degraded significantly over the last few months. Is there a particular reason you recommended a MicroATX board rather than a full ATX? Also, I have a 350W PSU at the moment. Would that be enough, or would I need to get a new one of those as well?
  5. Probably not, I have been working towards getting a new CPU since I got my 1060. The UK.
  6. Would there be a significan bottleneck if I were to pair a R5 5600X with a GTX 1060 6Gb? Also, what would be a good motherboard to pair with said R5 5600X?
  7. I3-7100 GTX1060 16Gb Ram second test PC has i5-9600U ? GTX 1650 8GB Ram Encoding in NVENC Do you need anything else?
  8. Recently, I have been getting back into streaming after a prolonged break. The problem is that when I stream to Twitch,I drop 65% of frames every time. No more, no less. I has tried streaming from a different computer but I just had the exact same issues so I ran a speed test and got an average of 7Mbps up. StreamlabsOBS is set for an output of 4500Kbps which sounds very reasonable for the sped that I get. But when I ran a test of all the twitch servers, I got nothing higher than just over 3000Kbps from any of them. Streaming to YouTube has no issues on the same settings. If anyone could offer advice on what the issue it, that would be great.
  9. storing on the drives - mostly games, archiving video files.
  10. My current drives are all full so I need a larger capacity drive to replace the disks in my Desktop.
  11. I need to get a new hard drive. I was thinking about getting a Seagate Barracuda 4Tb but all of the reviews said to not buy because they are SMR drives. Could someone please explain what an SMR drive actually is and what the downsides that everyone talks about actually are.
  12. I have just installed win 10 on a new ssd but I am having issues accessing the user data from my old hard drive. It says that I don't have permission. What do I do?
  13. I don't mind doing a clean install of Windows, it is the reinstalling of all my software that I don't want to do.
  14. I just got an SSD for my birthday. Is there an easy way to move Windows 10 to the SSD with out having to clean install and then reinstall all my software?
  15. What is the difference between the 860 EVO and the 860 PRO?
  16. It must be 2'5" as I do not have support for m.2 on my motherboard and the 500Gb size is because I already have several terabytes worth of hard drives and so only need it as a boot drive for Win 10 and a few key programs.
  17. I am looking at the the Samsung 860 EVO 500Gb but I was wondering if I should go for a different SSD instead. Budget is not too much of an issue.
  18. I bought a PC with no UEFI support that was running win10 pro a while ago.
  19. The client files, you can defiantly put them on the server. Why not just install the software on the machines themself?
  20. You want to put the software on the server as well as the project files?
