  1. Oh Okay,Thanks! I guess the 144 Hz would be more than enough for me. And I get a HDD.So that's a +
  2. Okay! So, build quality is good! Thanks.I too do not know the difference between the G5 and G7. Was a bit confused at first but dell website in my country(india) shows G3 & G7. So I am guessing that's the newer version? and less color Accurate..hmm!
  3. Hi, I have been trying to make up my mind on getting One of these laptops. But could not decide which is more worth for me and my work. The 2 laptops I am looking at is Dell G7 7590, and the Alienware M15. I really like the M15.But even the lowest spec in M15..It crosses my budget a little bit. And when I found out about G7 it seems to have good specs and is bit cheaper than than M15. So I was wondering about how would they seem to compare in their performance. And Alienware are usually built like a Tank. How about G7? Some say The build quality is bad in G7. G7 9th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-9750H NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2070 8GB GDDR6 with Max-Q Design 16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz 512GB Solid State Drive (Boot) + 1TB 5400RPM Hard Drive (Storage) 144Hz refresh rate Alienware M15 9th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-9750H NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 6GB GDDR6 (OC Ready) 8GB, 1x8GB, DDR4 2666MHz 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD + (No hard Disk) 240Hz display + Tobii Eyetracking I am not good with computer specs.. so, is the G7 laptop good for CPU and Graphics intensive applications like Rendering,Editing videos and Images(especially with color accuracy. Because previous G7 reviews showed low Adobe RGB and sRGB values. But this one has a little higher values) and some occasional gaming?? I had and still rarely use an old Alienware. So I am used to the bulkiness of the laptop.Still do sometimes even carry the Relic. So, any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Okay..Thanks guys! I will decline the offer. If he comes around to 500-600$ maybe I would reconsider. But I don't think he will!
  5. Hi there, A recent acquaintance of mine had a custom built PC. And he wanted to sell it. I do not know much about PC. But I was interested to buy it. Just do not know if it is worth it now in 2019 . Config- Intel i7 3770 Intel DB75EN Nvidia GeForce 1070 Ti DDR3 20 GB ram Fully modular case - Cooler Master 850Watt Corsair PSU FULLY modular Riser setup for vertical GPU mount 256gb X 2 SSD 2TB X 2 SATA drives 7 inch screen setup for stats monitoring ----- So is this thing worth 900$. I play some games .But I work with a lot of graphic intensive applications with 3d and Designing. Any info will be good. Thanks!
  6. Hi, a while ago i got my brothers old used Alienware M14x R2 laptop. It looks like its running solid. The battery is lower decent. I get about half hour to 45 min .So, i am going to get a new battery and charger.i really like it .But the temperature of the cores is like After 1st boot 50-60 ,Then after half an hour it would rise to 70 -80. When i use it for 3d or Editing or games temp goes high upto 90 -100. So, i thought of opening it up and cleaning it. I can build my own normal pc ,but have never opened a laptop.Scared...So, made my decision to open it up. At the same time i thought why not upgrade some parts of it to the max .Here is the current specs, (its not going to be best even upgraded ,its old but ok) -------------------------------- i7 -3rd gen 8gb ram nvidia GT 650m 250 gb samsung evo ssd alone win 10 --------------- I do not know that much about laptop stuffs .I am definately going to buy a battery and a adapter . so would anybody please recommend me what are the parts that i can upgrade to the max. like, ram? harddisk? graphics card ?And the best thermal paste? (please post the parts name so i could see if the specific part is available in my country to buy ) i am going to keep it as my backup as i would be doing a good amout of Designing,3d and editing works. Thanks , i really want to keep this baby alive for few more years.! ---------------------------- and is about rams does it support these rams 1- Corsair CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance 16GB Laptop Memory ddr3 (but it runs at 1333mhz instead of 1600 mhz) 2- Samsung Original 16GB Kit (2 X 8GB) 204-Pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3L-12800, 1600MHz RAM 3- Crucial 16GB Single DDR3L 1600 MT s PC3L-12800 SODIMM Memory CT204864BF160B i heard ivy bridge doesn't support 16gb mem sticks? is it true or should i stick to 8gb rams?
