  1. hey all, just wondering if you had to choose between larger ssd and less overall storage or more storage and smaller ssd which would you choose?
  2. Yeah im with these guys, wait till team red makes some competition with the new gen of gpus and see what happens, the 7970 is still quite a powerful gpu
  3. both are amazing cards, the fact that both got over 1.5ghz really shows the overclocking potential of maxwell
  4. i was gonna say r7 265 but its not here
  5. linus thanks for the straight forward info of techquickie, jay thanks for the laughs and shenanigans
  6. sigh* i want to build a rig using the 780 and i think the reference design looks amazing but its really not worth it to me considering the r9 290 costs about 100$ less for the same performance
  7. get r9 270 non x and overclock for best price to performance. it even consumes less power than a 270x
  8. Thanks. I'm going to go with the arc mini r2 as it has a fan filter on top and running it as intake:)
  9. hi i am building a rig. I just want to know your recommendations on my fan setup. I'm using the corsair 350d h100i and hx650. a should i have the front as intake the power supply fan down and h100i and rear as exhaust b front intake the h100i as intake and the rear as exhaust with the power supply fan up
  10. If you are gaming at 1080p on a single monitor i reckon you should go with a single 780ti. SLI 780's will perform better however the power consumption heat output and compatability issues aren't worth it
  11. Just to let you know graphics card manufacturers often over estimate the power supply requirement just in case so they dont get sued. also they can help their powersupply buddies make more money. with a 770 even a 500w should run it just fine let alone 980
  12. I don't think 4gb will be utilised in a 770. By the time your 2gb isn't enough your 770 will be obselete as a card anyways. In my opinion the evga would be best, evga is extremely well known for its great service. they are also the number 1 partner with nvidia. thats why personally im going with an evga
  13. hi another new forum guy here also from australia. Have you checked out this website http://au.pcpartpicker.com they can help you find the cheapest card amongst aus retailers. I would go with the evga 770 for $439 just cause its a very reputable brand. however there are also gigabyte and asus ones for 419 and 435 respectively
  14. 1. Australian 2. the 770 2gb is in my price range. if i had $500 (how much 4gb costs here) i may as well just get an r9 290 (gtx 780 is $650 here)
  15. Hi, new to the forum. im building a rig and i was having trouble between choosing the r9 280x and the gtx 770. i personally believe the gtx 770 is a better card. The problem is i wont upgrade my card often and the 770 has 2gb of vram. My question is do you think that 2gb will be enough until the time comes i have to upgrade. (gtx 770 becomes unable to play 1080p medium) or do you reckon the r9 280x will be better in the long run.
