I might buy the new Athlon to build a theater PC though

When I originally built the system the 8700k was the fastest gaming CPU out at the time and I didn't know much about AMD products.

Hello beautiful tech community! This is a slight upgrade to my first PC I built. The only real upgrade from my Original system is the new "011 Dynamic XL"! I was using the "Thermaltake View 71 Snow" I also modded the GPU to hang from the top of the case. It dropped about 5 or 6 degrees on my GPU after doing this! It is not completely finished as I want to make the aesthetics better but am too broke and lazy to at the moment. But I am looking for criticisms, so let's hear them! ?? PC specs- CPU- i7 8700k Intel Cooler- Kraken x72 NZXT Mobo- Z370-E Asus Ram- 32GB 3200MHz 16CL Corsair PSU- RM1000i 1000W Corsair (Painted White) Cables- Cable Mod Pro Series (White) Storage- 4TB Seagate HDD, 500GB Samsung NVMe M.2 (With Windows 10). Case- Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL (White) Fans- Corsair LL120 RGB 6x (intake), Thermaltake 140mm white led 2x (exhaust). GPU- RTX 2080 Arous Gigabyte (Painted White) Well that's my beautiful Wifey! (Or at least that's how my family puts it.) But on to the main setup and peripherals. I am building my old PS3 slim into a PC case that I have bought just for it (DIYPC J180-W). https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6rDzK8 I have almost done all the modding I need for this project such as installing the PS3 motherboard into the case and mounting 2 Deepcool CPU coolers on the CPU and GPU of the PS3. Also installed a GIGABYTE P650B 650W PSU. I know its overkill but was just what I had on hand. This is what she looks like... Now I am on to trying to mount the PS3 slims Blu-ray drive and I have made my power cable to length but I can not seem to find a Flex ribbon cable long enough that will work with the system. From all my research I have done I do believe I need a FFC ribbon cable with 24 pins and 0.5mm pitch with the connection reversed. Meaning the 24 pins are on opposite sides. Like this... This is my first time learning about these kind of ribbon cables and connector. I am still trying different things and reading as much as I can on it but would be Great to get a second opinion by someone who knows more about this! Huge Thank you in advance!

Can RGB fusion sync to a game or program? Can you save a lighting effect to a game so that it changes RGB lighting effect basic on what game is running. Just like in iCue?

All the different lighting effects glitch. Its as if the software is trying to run more then one lighting effect at the same time. and i was hoping you can sync a lighting effect with a program/game.

I just bought a Aorus 2080 Xtreme from Gigabyte. I love the RGB on the fans! It is one of the big reason I bought this card. However the "RGB Fusion" software is TRASH! Does anyone know how to get it working properly? Thank you!

Ok I can understand that. If errors is it just bad ram or can i fix it?

When at 3600mhz I'll get black screens, shut downs and computer not restarting. My mobo will light up a dram led telling me there is a problem and also post screens saying to change bio settings but it seems to work just fine clocked at 3500mhz. I will try what you have suggested though. Thank you!

First off let me just say I'm a Noob! This is my first PC build and although a pretty smooth experience I definitely don't know everything. ha ha. Well anyways I bought some new Ram (2 x 8gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600mhz) for my new build but It's not stable when I set it to 3600mhz in the bios. I have tried the preset XMP profile and still unstable. I hope it's just me being dumb but I'm not sure if it's just bad ram or something? Thank you! PC Specs: Mobo: Asus z370-e CPU: i7 8700k Ram: Corsair 2x 8gb 3600mhz GPU: AMD Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro PSU: Corsair RMi 1000 + 250gb SSD and 4TB HDD -and FYI my last upgrades are an M.2 SSD and Video Card. Hopefully the new Galax RTX 2080ti !!!!
