  1. I appreciate your quick response. Thanks for the input!
  2. Thanks for the reply! Can you be sure that it was a motherboard issue and the graphics card is not to blame?
  3. are you sure it's a motherboard problem?
  4. my theory is that there's some sort of driver incompatibility, but im not nearly qualified enough to be making that sort of diagnosis
  5. So during the summer of quarantine, my graphics card shut down. I was sitting in discord when I heard 2 clicks and the screen went black along with all of the fans etc. I sent it in to Zotac, and it came back working. Plugged it in and all was fine for 3 months before the same thing happened again. At the time, the stars aligned and all of a sudden I had a brand new RTX 3070 to plug in. So I did, to no avail. The exact same symptoms. One thing to mention is that when the cards "died", the computer would boot without them. I don't have an igpu so I can't check, but all the fans and lights turn on when they're not plugged in. With the GPU, the ram lights up but none of the fans or other lights. I'm unsure of the problem and I don't want to blame my brand new gpu for the issue, because they're so difficult to get right now. Just today, as I was plugging it in to check whether the issue had changed, I took out the gpu and sparks flew from the lower right portion of the motherboard. It's a wire heavy area, but idk anymore. MSI Gaming trio X Rtx 3070 Gigabyte X570-I 3700x Team 16gb RGB 3000 mhz Corsair Platinum SFX 600w
  6. Upon starting up my pc, a red light flashes once on my X570-I motherboard at the bottom left side next to the usb 3.0 slot, and no fans come on, only the ram lights and the GPU light. UPDATE: I tried with my old 2600x, and it had exactly the same problem. I’ve got a perfectly fine PSU I’ve tested, could it be the motherboard? 61412988258__D5FCB7A7-9826-462A-981D-C463147DD0A0.MOV
  7. another thing; the light on the back of the gpu lights up as well, the PSU fan doesn’t turn on or any of the other fans on the pc.
  8. After gaming session, PC turned off by itself and upon startup only the lights turn on and the psu clicks twice, please help Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x Gigabyte Aurous Itx X570 Gtx 1080 Dagger PSU 600w Gold+ Team 3200 ram After an extended gaming session, I was preparing to turn my pc off when suddenly it turned off by itself. I was unfazed, thought it might be too hot and let it cool down for a couple minutes. After starting it up, I noticed that it wouldn’t display anything to either of my monitors and the keyboard and mouse would only light up for a second when the pc was plugged in. The PSU clicks twice upon startup and none of the fans work. Any advice is appreciated, and I do not have access to a different PSU or a test bench.
