  1. It technically is possible to get 10 GB/s wifi, but it is completely impractical; get 3 Wi-Fi cards for a PCI x8 (or better yet, x16) slot, and use something like a modified version of Speedify to use all three at once. Itś stupid, but it has been done in the past with multiple wifi routers to get 10 GB/s wifi.
  2. It's not only cellular, but also Bluetooth and Wifi. So if you spend $300 on a Netgear nighthawk or ASUS wifi router, you may be affected. But if you aren't like, doing file transfers to a server or something on your home network, this change is completely neglectable.
  3. Because ASUS is planning to kill everyone with their wifi routers and because ASUS is crazy
  4. Apple has notified Intel that they will not be using Intel's "Sunny Peak" modem for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Intel then started working on another platform in hopes to tease Apple into having the modems reappear in 2022 iPhones. Intel has said that Apple was the "main volume driver" for the "Sunny Peak" modems. As for Apple, this means numerous things. Either Apple is going to look to new providers such as MediaTek for wireless connectivity, or Apple will possibly try to bring things back together with Qualcomm. 5. Hidden in the maze of ASUS's website is a unreleased Wi-Fi router with claimed 10 Gigabit wireless speeds. It has a similar look to that of the ROG Rapture GT-AC5300, but with a golden theme. ASUS appears to be putting it in the currently limited ROG lineup of wireless routers. It has features such as a quad core 1.8 Ghz 64 bit processor, Tri-Band wireless networking, 8 external antennas, 1GB of RAM and 256 MB of Flash memory, 64 and 128 bit encryption, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, 4 LAN ports, and many ASUS branded features. No release date or price is currently being advertised. Overview Specs
