  1. Thanks for all the replies and info! I ended up going with the QSW-2104-2S for now. I do want to add some UniFi PoE cameras at _some_ point. But don't have the budget at this time and at that point I think I would upgrade to the QSW-M2116P-2T2S and replace the TP-Link TL-SG1024 24-port gigabit switch. Again thanks for the help!
  2. Can anyone please give me a recommendation for a new network switch that will utilize my new 5gpbs connection? I am getting 5gbps fiber installed next week in my home. I will be using a AXE16000 Quad-Band 16-Stream Wi-Fi 6E Router with Two 10G Ports. I currently have a TP-Link TL-SG1024 24-port gigabit switch. The house is wired with Cat5e. I have three that have 2.5gbps+ LAN ports, two work computers with 1gbps LAN. So at the moment three computers in total that support 2.5gbps+. In the future I am planning on adding a 10gbps NAS via the router. I was thinking of just getting a 5 or 8 port switch like the TP-Link TL-SG105-M2. Would this be a good idea? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Checking out the UserBenchmark site, the comparison of the two is almost tie with stats.
  4. Links: i7-8086K i9-7900K Will the 8 extra threads equal out to the IGP acceleration?
  5. I am researching parts for building a new Video Editing computer. I was set on getting an i9-7900X, until I found Dmitry's (HardwareCanucks) video. It's about the new Hardware Acceleration in Premiere Pro 12.1, and his video has some benchmarks. I also checked out the post from Puget Systems, nothing new from them yet. Does anyone know if the new i7-8086k can out perform the i9's with the integrated IGP boost?
  6. Here is the build: Intel i9-7900X - BUILD - July, 2018 (AIO - Liquid Cooled) I also have an Air Cooled version: INTEL I9-7900X - BUILD - JULY, 2018 - (AIR COOLED)
  7. I am building a new Video Editing computer and wonder what's a better value. I am using Adobe software. Current Build Specs: i9-7900X 32GB Ram I have an extra $500 for the build and was wonder if either going to and i9-7960X or 64GB or RAM would be the better value. What do you guys think?
  8. The only reason I went with the 850w was when I used the, "How much wattage I need in my PSU for the PC build?" site, with everything I ever wanted to do with the machine and OC'ed. It said it would need 827w. For the drives, I still may use the 850 pro for the OS & Software and just get 2x NVMe's (512 and 1TB). I only put 3, because the MB can utilize 3.
  9. I think I am liking this build VideoEditing Build 06-28-18
  10. Also, what about Air CPU coolers vs AIO water ones? I think I would overclock it.
  11. Thanks for the info. Nice find with the article. I am thinking I will go with the i9 and Pro SSDs. What about RAM, is 32GB enough or 64GB where it should be at?
  12. What about the NVMe drives? Do you need 970 Pro's or will the 960 EVO's work just as well?
