  1. Alright, that's not a problem but thank you anyway for the helpful hint. If someone of you guy's, has similar problem like I do, then here is possible repair solution... Some guy from this forum send me a URL via Twitter https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/ It helped me to flash the latest vBIOS and now the GPU works on my PC and the eGPU docking station on my ThinkPad. You can read the current bios via GPU-Z tool and flash it via ATIFlash (AMD GPU's) or NVFlash (Nvidia GPU's) These tools are FREE! If you see a site, which are selling those, then it's a scam
  2. I downloaded a tools which could allow me to do this but I can't find any legit looking site, which would provide me the right vbios without forcing me to use an sketchy download manager. I mean, I'm using Kaspersky and always doing weekly backups but still it woud suck to also restore everything via my slow 10/100 Ethernet NAS Box could you provide some site for MSI vbios ?
  3. Already tried it in the first place since MSI drivers page redirect me there anyway
  4. Doesn't help. Still having the same issue
  5. Hi, I have a problem with my MSI Geforce GTX 970 Gaming 4G GPU after the latest Windows 10 update. Till yesterday it was working fine and I was ripping a VHS movie from my usb VHS dock and now after waking up, I saw that Windows rebooted itself and the GPU was using Window Basics drivers. After trying to reinstall the drivers, I just always got a black screen, even if I used the drivers from the driver&utility CD :/ I'm experiencing the same issue, if I connect the gpu to my ThinkPad X230 Is there any solution to this problem or is the GPU dead/bricked?
  6. Hi, I'm searching for a very fast "pre-build" USB C SSD for video editing on FinalCut Pro and Adobe Premiere. Till now I used a DIY solution with a ICY Box m.2 NVMe SSD case and I was getting speeds over 900mb/s in Read/Write but after some time the case got really hot (even after replacing the thermal pads with those from Arctic) and the R/W Speeds got like under 140mb/s. The price is not really important for me. The most important thing would be that the SSD has at least +400gb capacity, is fast enough for video editing and doesn't have the same issues like with my current SDD. Merry Christmas everyone
  7. It's not worth it to emulate MacOS on VMware (Workstation) or VirtualBox. Trust me, I used this method before with my 32gb ram/Ryzen 7 1700x and RX 580 PC and the VM wasn't great 2 use and wasn't that fast at all.. even after assigning 1gb of vram, 18gb ram and 5 CPU Cores : P For the best experience get a Lenovo 330S (15ikb - 81jn) with those specs (or better) since they are really cheap and fully compatible with MacOS ===> I own this Laptop and bought it for 85$ without any drive in it, then I spend 50$ for a 250gb SSD and 5$ for a MacOS compatible WiFi/Bluetooth module. The performance is like on mid 2013 MacBook Air and all the i/o ports are working. Only thing that isn't working, is the battery status but this can be fixed with 3rd party tools like this one (free) LINK to Apple Appstore - Battery Monitor: Health, Info
  8. Hello everyone, I was using a HIS Radeon HD 5870 GPU on my Hackintosh for about 5 years. I bought this GPU used, applied liquid metal, used a DIY water cooling solution and I was able to push the card to the limit till I purchased a Sony a6500 at Black Friday. Now I'm looking to buy a MacOS Catalina compatible AMD GPU that will give me the best performance for a reasonable price to do 4k video editing. Did someone already tried the Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX Vega 56 on with Final Cut Pro X?
  9. I would actually like to host the Linux OS from my workstation/NAS Server and then use the tablet as a client if you know what I mean. My workstation (HP Z600) has actually 32gb of RAM, 2x Intel Xeon X5650 and six 250gb Samsung Evo SSD's which are connected as RAID 10. My current OS which I'm using on this workstation is the Windows Server 2012 (don't judge me, this Server OS was included with the Workstation), I'm using it as an NAS Server for saving my Acronis backups on it and I'm also running an PLEX Media Server on it. When I run everything together then I have still enough resources left to create an VM with 8gb RAM, 4 CPU Cores, 80GB Virtual HDD and to host it to my Tablet. I actually don't care about the electricity bill since I'm powering this workstation with my powerwall
  10. Hello, I recently repaired my old Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 with Windows 8.1 Pro which I got from the company where I worked before and somehow I can't upgrade it to Windows 10 and also I can't dual-boot Debian (installed with wubi) which I installed on internal memory and also if it is installed to my SD Card. My question is if there is any 2018 method to upgrade to windows 10 Pro (I have actually an 10 Pro Retail key) and my second question is if I could somehow create an VM with Debian on it and let the Tablet boot into it over the network without needing to boot into Windows first. I actually already done something like this on my Dell thin client but this method doesn't work on this tablet, however I can boot it into Windows 10 PE if I use my USB SSD drive which is actually getting 289mb/s Read - 214,5mb/s Write on this tablet. Does anyone have an solution to my problem? I actually don't care about the connectivity issues because I have an SIM Slot in the tablet and I also have unlimited data contract
  11. Your profile pic is kind of like if Microsoft was honest about what the soul of Internet Explorer looked like.

I actually have an custom Windows 7 build, where the Internet Explorer got renamed into "Best Explorer Ever.exe" and it has an icon, that almost looks like my profile pict. XD  Only difference is, that my logo has a different shade of grey

  12. I have to use the existing BGA Chip, because it is responsible for switching between the CD and FM Radio mode. The thing is that I have an small pcb with an flex cable thing connected together. The flex cable goes on the place, where the BGA Chip was before and the BGA Chip should be placed to the PCB. In other words, the connection gets bridged and instead of having an working CD Player, I will have an Aux connector. The Mod kit costed me around 2,37usd at my local seller and it is actually really easy to work on it.. Simple rule.. just follow the instructions, all components are really easy to mount if you have the right tools. For example, I see an components in R12 bag, then I need it to place on the pcb, where the R12 is present. In my opinion, the instructions are really idiot proof and there are no capacitors, that could blow right into someone's face, in case if someone ignores the polarity. Thank you very much. It is definitely very informative and now I even know how to correct an pad, if I destroy one of the pads
  13. Hi, I'm currently modifying an old Audi car radio and I want to add an pcb into it, in order to get an Aux connector working on it. I already soldered most of the components and now I'm at a point, where I need to remove an CAN Interface IC and place it on my pcb but the thing is.... that is an BGA chip, which means that my soldering iron will not work on it. Now I was looking on Amazon for one hot air reflow station and I wanted to ask, if it will work on BGA Chips or not hot air reflow station (this link will send you to Amazon Germany ) I don't care about the time, that it will take until this station gets heated up and I don't want to do siruis stuff with it.. Would probably use it from time to time and don't really need to spend more than 50€ on a hot air reflow station.
  14. 2014- Power Bank for Smartphones got popular 2018 - First Power Bank for Electric car's got released XD Technology Evolution
  15. Ah, I understand now how it works. Well I gonna then upgrade the GPU. I wondering why Xiaomi doesn't sell GPU's This brand is actually very well known here at Germany and there is also an unofficial Xiaomi shop in the city where I'm living.
