  1. Everyone apparently hates this chip and ends their videos and articles with “just get an i5 for the extra few dollars” The 7350k was a terrible deal, I’ll say that everyday. But now that it’s a 4/4 cpu it’s a great deal for gaming. It performs 28% better than a 7350k, and 3% better than a 7600. But the real kicker is it is only outperformed by 1% in qc performance and is better in single core by 2%. Integer and float-point speed is in favor of the i3-8350k by 11% and 13% respectively in single and quad core. I know that the i5 now have 6 cores but in games it’s not going to be a used [in most games] as much as higher clock speed. Also, these can overclock easy as there are only 4 cores to cool and not 6 as in the i5 bad i7’s cases. So why is it that the i3 isn’t recommended by almost any reviewer? Here’s the source of Data
  2. It will work. But if your CPU isn’t up to par (able to handle) the data flow from the GPU you’ll have a bottle neck. I recommend just spending 120$ and getting a cheapo mobo and a 7th/8th gen pentium. That makes the most sense to me. The reason for this is it is a Gen 1 pcie slot. That may also be a bottleneck. Remember a gen 3 slot has 4x more bandwidth than Gen 1 (theoretically) P.S. if you attempting to buy a 750, don’t. Just save up a few dollars to buy a 1050 or 1050ti.
