  1. My friend is building a PC using parts from another friend. Everything is connected but when you press power the motherboard lights up in the top left in red but nothing actually starts. It don't think it's the debug light so no idea what's the issue. The BIOS should be fine as it was updated and working with the 3600x on the other PC. Please help. 2. I have a OnePlus 7t with a Snapdragon 855 Plus. I want a Vivo iQOO 7 with a Snapdragon 888. Both have 8gb RAM and 128gb storage. Cameras are around the same and the iQOO has UFS 3.1 storage as opposed to the OnePlus' 3.0. Is the Snapdragon 888 and faster storage beneficial enough for an upgrade as I already skipped the 865? I mainly play Genshin Impact and Seven Knights. Thank you.
  3. Okay but I can't remember the last time someone posted about or watching someone talk about them overclocking their card and breaking it. It's incredibly safe, no?
  4. Simply, why pay more for a TUF 3080 OC when you can buy a TUF 3080 and just OC it to the same spec yourself? What benefit at all is there? Thanks.
  5. Would having this Rog Strix B550-F have a different WI-FI experience than using this Rog Strix B550-A and this FIDECO WiFi Adapter? Would driver updates be easier on one, speeds different or any real world noticeable differences. All in ones are normally easier but I love the white. Thanks.
  6. Okay thanks. One more question, do you know why games played on the RX 6000 series always have lower contrast?
  7. Ignoring ray tracing, ignoring DLSS 2.0, ignoring everything but pure fps, which cards run better overclocked? Something like an overclocked TUF 3080 or a RX 6800xt? Thanks!
  8. No but I sit back. Would turning settings to medium at 1440p or higher settings at 1080p better?
  9. Currently: GTX 1070ti overclocked Ryzen 5 3600x stock MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon WI-FI 32gb 3600mhz CL 16 (2*16) 32" 1440p 75hz monitor Upgrade: Ryzen 5 5600x overclocked ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WI-FI Will the new CPU be enough to boost performance and carry me through 2021 on my monitor? Games: Cyberpunk 2077 Forza Horizon 4 Assassin's Creed Valhalla Cities Skylines Crisis 3 Remastered Do I need to upgrade my GPU (3080)? I can afford to but won't if it's unnecessary. Ray Tracing isn't a big deal as only Cyberpunk makes me want that and my 3080 pre order price is an inflated £750 for an, in my opinion, really ugly PNY card. Thanks.
  10. I mean I don't mind cranking my monitor down to 1080p for a game like Legion. Would 1080p on a 32" monitor look bad? My 1080p PS4 Slim on my 55" 4K TV looks fine when playing the beautiful Horizon Zero Dawn.
  11. I have the opportunity of getting a ichill GTX 1070 ti x3 v2 card for just £150 from a friend. Is the 1070ti, possibly overclocked, okay for 2020 through 2021? I will either get this and wait for what comes out next or spend a lot more for 3080 now. Games I want to play 75pfs+ Cyberpunk 2077 COD Warzone Forza Horizon 4 Watch Dogs Legion Horizon Zero Dawn Final Fantasy 16 Rocket League I don't really care about ray tracing at this point given I'm content with how my PS4 Slim looks. (Although Cyberpunk 2077 ray tracing is really tempting). What would you do in my situation? I currently have a 3080 on pre order for £750 which includes COD Cold War which I can cancel saving £600. My current specifications are: Ryzen 5 5600x Asus Rog Strix B550 Gaming WI-FI 32gb ddr4 3600mhz CL16 (2*16) 750w power supply Benq 32" 1440p 144hz monitor
  12. I have a Asus Rog Strix B550 Gaming WI-FI motherboard and am wondering if it has any 5v 3pin A-RGB headers. I can see it has 2 standard 4 pins but theres a 3 pin labelled "ADD_Gen 2" and in the manual it says "Addressable Gen 2 header" but why would it not say RGB when the 4 pins are called RGB? I want to buy this.
  13. 1080p to 1440p is easier to do than 1440p to 4k. My 1070ti runs most games on high at 1440p with games like Forza Horizon 4 and Rocket League getting 100+ FPS on my 144hz display.
  14. The RX 6800xt is 267 mm x 120 mm x 50 mm apparently but what does this exactly mean? From where to where is the width measured? I ask because I want to buy a custom milled RGB backplate to go on top of the card if I manage to get one and need to know what dimensions to provide. Also, would you need a cut out for the arrays on the back of the card? Thanks.
  15. Thanks for all this information. It's incredibly interesting and for some reason I have never seen this talked about before.
  16. Funny how less pins mean better performance. Thanks.
  17. I have bought the Asus Rog Strix B550 F Gaming WiFi motherboard and want this RGB GPU mount. Do I get the 3 pin or 4 pin connection and what difference does it make given they have their own RGB remote? Thanks.
  18. In what way is it a drawback? Why would more premium boards have an interior design in that regard?
  19. Yeah but MSI makes the drivers for the boards which means even though it's software the motherboard still has this issue and lots online are the same... It was supposed to be a premium B450 too...
  20. Cheaper X570s like anything MSI B550 or X570 apart from the one I stated are really poor for example. I have 1 1tb PCIE 3.0 SSD and 3 Sata ones as Gen 4 doesn't do anything for gaming.
  21. Because smart access memory. I have a Ryzen 5 3600x and a GTX 1070ti. I'll be upgrading my GPU to the RX 6800xt when the new ones come out if available and will upgrade my CPU sometime next year. Also, for some reason I can't be on a discord call and hear in game music at the same time. It's either no discord call and game music or discord call and game music. Not sure if it's because of the WIFI onboard. I also have a £120 voucher to spend on any computer component .
  22. So I am deciding between two boards. One is the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) and the is the MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI. Both have Bluetooth 5.1, both have WIFI 6, both have superb VRMs, both have PCIE gen 4 which doesn't even matter in games right now, both have great inbuilt audio and both overclock amazingly. The Rog is said to beat many X570's and the Tomahawk is said to be one of the best boards around. I know X570 is technically better but apart from USB C is it worth the £20 more for a board I don't think looks as good . Current motherboard is the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
  23. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) motherboard and a water cooled Ryzen 5 3600x CPU with 32gb of DDR4 3600mhz RAM at CL16. Is their much point in upgrading my CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600x to utilise Smart Access Memory given I have a Benq 144hz 1440p monitor? If I can 100+ fps on AAA games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Ghostrunner, Horizon Zero Dawn and Star Citizen I'd rather save my money. Thank you.

  25. You aren't supposed to defrag an SDD. You should ONLY do that on a HDD.
