  1. as i mentioned in my other reply, the bios say 4 ghz base clock too
  2. no but i just find it a bit weird that the base clock is 4 ghz, also it never seems to boost even tho i have a well capable power supply and a temp of 71c under load
  3. I got this PC very recently and ive never touched the cpu overclocking
  4. this is not really a problem, i was just wondering. my 3900x is sitting at 4 ghz and task manager says the base speed is 4 ghz, but when i search for the base clock its 3.8 ghz. is it like overclocked a little bit from factory?
  5. Took a look at a beefier motherboard. What about the MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi or ASUS ROG Strix X570-F gaming I personally think the asus looks better
  6. Why is it unable to handle the 3900x? Dont know what happened with the G.Skill Trident Z V2 750W, must have mixed them up The RAM is G.Skill Trident Z 3600 MHz 2x16 gb PSU is Corsair RM750x V2 750W
  7. I'm planning to get this PC: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 Corsair LL140mm 2 pack ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E gaming NZXT H500i black G.Skill Trident Z V2 750W ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2080 SUPER I put the parts into pcpartpicker, and it says Warning! Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. Note: Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders I know that the be quiet cooler fits in the h500 from a reddit post, just barely being able to fit. However, i dont know about RAM clearance or the motherboard Also, feel free to tell me if you think my choice of parts are bad Budget: 14700 dkk + my old pc (like 1700 dkk) - $2203 + $254 Country: Denmark Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blender, VR (preferably 90 fps, however i can play at 30 fps without motion sickness) and moderately intensive games at 144 fps
  8. Okay thanks for the help then I probably won't buy it
  9. Samsung SSD 860 EVO 250GB (Sata SSD) It's around 350 MBps read and write I think
  10. What kind of improvements are we looking at?
  11. Mostly just for games. The SSD has 3500 MBps read speeds and my current is around 300-500 MBps. Will there be a significant difference? Also, I'm not planning to keep this PC for more than a year or so. I wouldn't mind losing that PCI-E slot Oh and also, will using an adapter bottleneck the SSD?
