  1. I see. I'll try remount it with some of that mx-5, else this kraken might finally have died on me
  2. How many watts does it pull, and what cooling? (on the 5900x)
  3. would save you a lot of money, but if you absolutely cant take an expansion card... for whatever reason then msi mpg is also pretty nice and has the same intel ax chip
  4. b550-a pro is a solid board, no need to overspend. its usually my recommendation id go with that
  5. I enabled pbo a while ago, and decided to test it now (3900x). Before I'd get around 65-70c max load. Now I get 90c and 75c with prime95. My cpu seems to pull 175w for about 5 minutes each time, cooking at 90c. Then it falls to around 115-125w where it sits at 75c. It never thermal throttles I have a 280mm aio (kraken x63) top mounted in a meshify 2 with 3 intake fans and 1 exhaust fan (besides the aio). Is this bad cooling/mounting pressure/paste? I did mount it not that long ago, but I think I gave it a decent amount of paste. Or is it just simply 175w being a fuckton of heat? pov you have 11700k
  6. Well the chip itself must be working else you wouldn't get output on remote desktop. Usually power flush and reseating gpu did it for me. Are you sure your cable is okay though? Have you tried any other monitors?
  7. looks fine. next time you can use https://pcpartpicker.com/ it can tell you almost all compatibility issues
  8. i went to 240mm from a dark rock pro 4. 5c drop. 70c is perfectly fine, only get it for cosmetic purposes. aios also do have more thermal mass meaning they dont ramp up as much in bursty situations but you probably dont need it
  9. X73 is pretty bleh and an asetek pump. you should only get it if you insist on the cosmetics that ram is same first word latency as normal 3200 mhz (because its cl18) get something like crucial 3200 mhz cl16 please dont get a h710i. its gonna be a fucking oven. i used to have a 3900x and 2080 super when i switched from h510i to meshify 2 i got 15c drop + 500 rpm less my case recommendations: meshify 2 (or c) p400a/p500a corsair 4000d (or 5000d, its larger) just make sure its open front
  10. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9WZZgt this list should be plenty good, but you may not need that gpu that much im not sure how big your files are, but you might wanna consider stepping up your storage
  11. frequency i recommend 3200 mhz cl16 but you may benefit from 3600 mhz cl16 depending on how heavy and what kind of engineering work youll be doing for psu i recommend rev d.f 850w
  12. i was trying to watercool it (wasnt using static protection) and vram wasnt running hot or anything yes i did try it in another computer, it does the same. i am currently running on my 1050 ti (which works fine)
  13. Also, after setting the res to 800x600 all artifacts disappear
