I have a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Windforce, base clock is 1410/1610 MHz, I overclocked by 200 MHz, should I go more? It seems fine at +200 MHz overclock for both CUDA and memory.

The encryption is pre activated. I know my bitlocker is working, but I just don't know what caused it to suddenly ask me for the recovery key on startup. When I restarted it again without entering my key, it didn't ask for my key and just logged right back in.

Yes, my drive is encrypted.

Once in a while, when I boot or restart my Microsoft Surface Book it asks for my Bitlocker key. I just restart my laptop again and it's fine. What is causing this? Is my PC infected by a virus?

My 2070 is using around 50W at the lowest load, as in 50W is the lowest the power consumption will ever go. Is there a way to reduce this to conserve power when I'm not gaming or using GPU compute?

I used Virustotal.com to scan my bitdefender installation file and it turned up with 2 positives, one of which was a trojan. I downloaded the bitdefender free version but it was from their website (I typed in the URL myself). Did some overclocking on my RTX 2070 Windforce and Ryzen 7 2700X (stock cooler), got a nice 20% improvement on benchmarks. Real world performance isn't as big of an improvement but it's still pretty nice. Before: After: My computer did eventually freeze while I was doing a Blender render, is that because the voltage isn't enough? I didn't touch voltages, just the clocks and fan speed (it was LOUD).

I have some Aura sync compatible RGB strips as well as an ROG Aura terminal, how do I make my addressable RGB strips glow in a rainbow effect except with colors I choose? So instead of it going red, orange, yellow, blue and purple, I want it to cycle through something like purple, orange, white, yellow, blue, pink? Is there a way for something like FastLed to work without an Arduino?

When I close the lid it goes into sleep and stop all processes, when I take it out it should be nice and cool.

Today after I took my computer out of my bag (previously in sleep mode) it was very hot. When I opened it up, the screen would not turn on so I held down the power button and forced a restart. After rebooting, it started a windows update, which took half a minute, but after going into settings > update and security, the "update" that just happened did not appear in the logs. I also set my computer to update only in the night, so this update was obviously not a planned one. What happened? Is my computer infected by a virus? Why were there a random update with no records of any kind? (My laptop is a Surface Book)

Is there a software or control hub that allows me to customize exactly what color each LED displays? I want a set of specific colors to remain static on the strip.

I'm rendering a scene on Blender, and yesterday I remember getting 1:09 on a specific scene, but today when I rendered it it took 1:53, and when I opened GPU-Z it showed around 90% load and only 70% TDP while gaming or benchmarking put both to 99%. What is happening? I know the scene was the same because I rendered it on the CPU and it took the exact same time as it did yesterday. All my rendering settings remained the same as well. My motherboard (ASUS Prime x470 Pro) does not have any 5V 3 pin ARGB connectors. Is there an adapter that I can use? I need that connection for many RGB components. Something like USB to 5V 3pin connector.

I want to custom design a GPU backplate, and I know two companies that do this: V1Tech and Savant PCs. V1Tech charges $112 for a custom plate with aRGB lighting, while Savant charges only $65. I know V1Tech have a very good reputation, but I haven't heard much about Savant due to lack of reviews. Do anyone know much about this seller or ordered products from there?

I touched the side of my RAM stick, which has a metal enclosure. I think there was a tiny tingling feeling, not a significant shock. Could this kill the RAM? I did not touch the contacts.

For both system RAM and VRAM, how much of each do you typically use in 3D rendering? I ordered 16GB of RAM and an RTX 2070 which has 8GB of VRAM, is this enough? I'm aware that the Vega 7 have 16GB of HBM2, but it is a loud and hot card which may not be good for a college dorm (I'm going to college later this year).

Can Blender or Maya take advantage of RT Cores to speed up rendering? I'm aware that VRay can use RT cores to speed up rendering, but that is hella expensive.
