  1. I'm trying to decide between these two laptops for college. The XPS would be the 9310 with a 3050 ti and the G14 would have a 6700s. I do some gaming on the side, looking at maybe Minecraft, Flight Sim 2020 (if possible), and a few other games. I'm okay with playing 1080p high settings. I also do a fair amount of video/photo editing in the Adobe suite but both of these laptops seem to be perfectly fine for that. I did find both laptops at pretty good prices but the XPS comes in about $200 cheaper. That savings would definitely be nice to use on other things. Not sure which one to get given what I plan on doing so I would love to hear what you all think! Thanks
  2. Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a laptop for the first time and need some help deciding what to get. Currently I have PC that I built myself but I need a laptop for college. I'm looking to get something with a decently powerful gpu (2070 or 3060), 16gb of ram, and a 6 core processor. I would be using it for all my college stuff, video editing, and some gaming here and there. My goal would be to spend less than $1300 on it because that is roughly what I could get for my current PC. I am open to buying off of eBay as a lightly used or open box item as well. One more thing is that I do have two monitors that I would want to use to dock the laptop so the screen doesn't have to be super nice. I think the biggest thing for me though is that I don't want it to scream "gamer" with the appearance. There are a lot of good laptops with the specs I want but they just look big and bulky and not really for me. I am looking at the 2019/2020 Razer Blade 15 with a 2070 but that would most likely be a used item. Would this be a good option? I would really appreciate some suggestions as I don't know too much about the laptop world. Thanks!!
  3. I am building a $550 pc with a ryzen 3 1200 in it that I will be overclocking to somewhere around 3.8ghz. I was wondering if I should get a different cpu cooler so my temps would be lower the 75 degrees celsius. I have a little bit of money left in my budget so I wasn't sure if I should get a different cooler than stock or get a 60gb ssd for a boot drive.
  4. So I am using a ryzen 3 1200 in my $550 budget build and have a little bit of money left over to buy something else. I was wanting to overclock my cpu to somewhere around 3.8-4.0ghz. I thought that I could spend my extra money on an aftermarket cooler. There are some good choices I have found for air cooling but I was wondering if getting a 120mm aio would be worth it in the long run because I plan on upgrading my cpu in the future.
