I'd recommend for backup your files and try and rollback to a restore point before you got for a full reinstall. If performance doesn't improve from the rollback then go for a fresh reinstall and work from there.

I personally love the Siberia V2 / 200, they're extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and last awhile before wearing out.

Of course you'd see improvement and gains but how much will come down to the rest of your rig. If you're wanting to make an upgrade right this minute then spread your money across your entire rig (CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Storage ect.) so you're ready to make a smoother jump to the next generation when it arrives and won't be left with less than satisfying gains.
