There is one important thing to remember:
the AT Specification lasted around 10 Years.
Its sucessor (the ATX Spec) is already around for 22 years.
Do you really think there is a big future for this aged, ancient thing that was made with totally different things in mind?? I doubt that...
Just look at how many +5V Wires the ATX Cable has. And how many 12V ones...
Its like two for the most important 12V Rail. Just two wires of the whole 24 pins...
Sorry, but there isn't really a future for ATX - and there shouldn't be one!
So you should think about what you have now, not what eventuelly might happen because you don't know that. I don't know that. Nobody does....
